This video is for teachers who are using Padlet with their students and want to learn more about what the tool can do and its advanced features. Some great ideas from Russell on how Padlet can be used by the students and the teachers covering the following:
-how to use the audio option,
-how to use a webcam,
-how to add comments,
-how to draw into a Padlet,
-what you can do with the Map option in Padlet
-how to use the Timeline,
-how to embed a Padlet,
-how to archive Padlets
All these features are often omitted by the teachers or simply not many users realised that they are there. Russell will take you through the key features that you should know about he will also show you some ideas how these options can be used by your students and in your classes. Russell will began with great tips about recording and how to save your recordings all together so you can get a collection of them in one place. After adding the audio Russel will show you how to add comments so the students can listen to the recordings of others and leave questions or comments in respond. Then he will look into the options in terms of types of content you can add like recording with a webcam, taking a photo, drawing on the screen, imbedding from KZbin. Very useful tips on how to use the Map Format which many teachers find quite complicated. Russell will present some great ideas how your students can use the Map at home and in the classroom. There are some really interesting features that teachers are not aware of and one of them is Working with Timeline. In this video you will learn how to use the key features using Timeline to create different activities as an individual or in a group.
In the next part of this video you will learn how to archive your Padlets so you aren't limited on how many free Padlets you can make using the free account. At the end of the video Russell gives you some useful tips on how to save and share your Padlets as well as all you need to know about embedding a Padlet into your blog or website. There are some other things you can do with a Padlet for example you can moderate them so watch the last part of this video if you want to find out more about these options.

Excellent tutorial!!! I hadn't thought of combining the different features before, but it can really enhance the possibilities. The archiving tip is a lifesaver too and I didn't realise you could embed on a VLE. Really makes a huge difference, so thank you sooo much for illustrating these advanced features. Amazing!!😃👍👏

Great video. Do you know if there is a way to give each student their own copy of a Padlet page? What I want is for each student to have their own Timeline that they can edit and no one else can see.

I have no idea, I have worked with huge groups, even groups with 100s of people and I have had groups of 30 and 40 adding audio files and it worked fine
