Padma Shri in the field of Social Work to Dr. K. S. Rajanna. He is known for his work for the welfare of Divyangjan. Despite having lost his hands and feet in childhood, he has made spectacular achievements in various fields. He has provided employment to hundreds of people and helped thousands of Divyangjan become self-reliant.When KS Rajanna was just 11 months old, he lost his hands and legs to polio. Despite his young age, he refused to let his physical disability hinder him from living life to the fullest and achieving his goals. KS Rajanna pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering, established his own enterprise where he employed people with disabilities, won a gold medal in discus throw and a silver medal in swimming, and eventually was appointed as the Karnataka State Commissioner for the Disabled. Throughout his life, KS Rajanna has been an advocate for the rights and empowerment of people with disabilities. He was conferred the Padma Shri award in recognition of his resilience and determination to enhance the lives of people with disabilities across India. Congratulations, KS Rajanna!
