Please pray for my son. He was baptized as a baby into the Catholic Church and has left married a non denomination church goer. He and his wife have been married 18 years and have a good marriage. He informed me that he is going to be re-baptized this Sunday at this non denominational church. He said now that he's an adult he wants to make the choice to be baptized. I am invited to come. When he told me I reworded baptized by telling him he was already baptized and now he's redecorating himself to Jesus. He agreed with this. I pray everyday for him and his brothers and sister to return to Christ's Church.

My children and grandchildren were baptized in the Catholic church made their first communion and made their confirmation as well. But they have some how decided that the Catholic church isn't for them. My two youngest children were also ultra servers. I feel as if I failed as a mother and grandmother. This is very good, and very important. Catholics, I think, tend to "leave everything to the priest". It is partly because we are taught that the priest has special roles - liturgy and sacraments. That is true, but then many forget this part here, what we can do as laity.

There are also many apostolates, spiritual associations and 3rd Orders a layperson can join. One of the foremost is the Legion of Mary which has been praised by numerous Popes, and the SVP. Our Lady once advised that if you join a prayer group one should commit to it for a year at least. Many saints have advised actually dedicating oneself to the Spiritual Life - which includes daily or frequent Holy Mass, working on the virtues, and spiritual reading (I think Padre Pio advised 30 minutes per day).

I have the exact opposite problem with my family. Mother and stepfather are taking Communion without confession since decades already! And how they sacrificed my grandma, and later me, for the new family they made, actually made them the victims, according to them! So it's the exact opposite kind of wrong with my folks.
