Friendly reminder this is the first time EVER that a team has clinched a playoff spot with a game-ending triple play. For US to do that against the DODGERS is... wow. By far one of the most insane baseball moments I've ever gotten to witness on live tv. Oh and also, the radio announcers for the Padres said just seconds beforehand, and I quote, "the best case scenario here would be a triple play, but that might be too big of an ask" 💀

Profar's defense was amazing!!!! He's had such a great year! Amazing comeback story. However, Padres got a little lucky there in the 9th. Suarez almost blew that game. He has such low confidence is being able to locate his spots. He's a liability at this point.

@@김승민-U3U Absolutely not. He's not been performing well and it's getting worse each outing. His dedication is fine but it only goes so far especially if he and Mike/AJ care about the TEAM. The Padres have enough relievers to completely PULL Suarez NOW before it's too late. Even the flailing Whitesox almost took him to task.

Let’s see… amazing defense, check. Outstanding outing from our starting pitcher, check. Lockdown performance from our entire bullpen (including Suarez), check. Clutch hitting from our 6 and 7 hole hitters, check. Perfect game management and decision making from Schildt, check. I don’t care what the regular season records are, this Padres team is the team to beat in the NL. I absolutely love our team and would not trade this roster for any other ball club.

San Diego have been involved in some of the most amazing matches this year... and not always as the winning side. I know this would hurt as a Padres fan, but the other one I'm thinking about is Detroit, Parker Meadows with the opposite field grand slam to make it 4-3... I can also think of a few walk offs, I think one was against Arizona... can't remember, but there have been some crazy games. Also Astros last series, the 2nd game where a bunch of weird calls were made, e.g. Profar being hit by the pitch that clearly missed him, and then the dude who had replaced Altuve (who'd been thrown out for taking his sock off), made an awesome play to win the match... Padres just produce awesome games, win or lose.
