Paediatric Burn Care and Beyond

Welcome to our second Wound Care Matters episode where we will be discussing burns in children and the charity Scottish Burned Children’s Club (SBCC). I’m Sharon Gardner, Clinical Services Manager for Mediq UK and today I will be joined by three very special guests. Claire Gardiner, who is a Tissue Viability Nurse, and Sharon Ramsay, who is a Burns Specialist Nurse. Claire and Sharon both specialise in Paediatric and Neonatal patient care. Our 3rd guest is Toni Deakin, who has kindly agreed to share her own patient experience and is someone with whom Claire and Sharon have cared for when she was a burns patient. All my guests are involved in the Scottish Burned Children’s Club (SBCC) which we look forward to hearing all about.
