Why they use compound?

There are two main reasons for using a compound. The limbs on a compound only move a small amount. this makes is easy to adjust the pull weight from 10 to 20 pounds and to allow widely varing pull lengths. Both of which would be hard to achieve with a recurve bow. Both very tall and strong and short and weak students can use the same bow accurately.

I can under stand all the safety regulation but some of them are very stupid , I never teach my students on a target sitting on the ground because if in a survival of hunting scenario your not going to shoot something that low to the ground in less it might be a rabbit or squirrel & then I use special 3D rabbit or squirrel targets . I always make them go one person to a target always never two people to a target at a time , that lessons the risk of Robin Hooding someone else,s arrow , they shoot 6 , put there bow on there bow rest then walk to there target & pull there arrows taking there quiver with them & bringing there quiver with the arrow in it back to the line . I leave 1 yard between each shooters line also just so if there wearing hip quivers it doesn’t hit the person in front of them

On average I shoot roughly 260+ each tournament with a finger guard. I shoot in Kentucky.

where's their finger tabs or their arm guards? they don't have the proper safety equipment. I thought this was supposed to be for children and teenagers. I mean c'mon

+elijah mittelman thats not safety equipment finger tabs create a layer between your finger and the string and that messes with constancy (a little blister never killed anyone) and the arm guard only works if you get your arm slapped and with proper form that really wont happen plus these bows only draw at 20 lbs max so the danger is minimal as long as the range is clear and you stay behind the shooters and if your walking in front of an archer line in a competition then i say let natural selection carry on

+Elijah the reason why they don't have arm guards is because it's not normal for someone to hit there arm with the string. If they do hit there arm with there string is because the don't hold there bow right. I shoot archery for nasp
