As I tell everyone who asks, Page was in many ways better in '98 than in '73, the latter generally being recognized as hjs high-water mark live. There was a nearly out-of-control lilt in his '73 live playing that's missing here, but in nearly every other way, he was better in '98. I'd have loved to hear a '98 Dazed. I mean a proper half-hour Dazed played by '98 Page. As good as Michael Lee was, however, he lacked the improvisational fluidity John Bonham had to handle Dazed live in any iteration
