Jimmy Page has a B Bender on that Telecaster. It is a device that connects to one of the strap anchor points on the guitar. You pull against the strap and it bends the B string up one pitch. Brilliant use of the B Bender in this song. Jimmy Page is just a regular guy, as are all musicians. But put a guitar in his hands and creative genius flows from his soul to the world! Such a privilege to witness the gift that he has to share!

Glad they played this one pretty close to the original (at least by the standards of many other numbers from this collaboration). The original recording is one of the few absolutely perfect songs that exist in rock music. In my opinion, it's Zep's very best song, absolute perfection from the first note to the last, and it should not be mucked with, not by Zep themselves or anyone else. I really have no idea why - other than perhaps the sheer beauty of the composition - but this song hits me in my very soul like no other piece of music. I feel simultaneously overcome with both sadness and joy every time I hear it, and am struck dumb by the beauty of it, every single time I hear it. It's quite astounding, actually.

It's the wierd harmonies created by the dubbed guitars. Very difficult to reproduce live because there are like 6 guitars there, at least part of the time. And yes this is by far the best composition Jimmy ever made public, it's always the first track I play on that album, and what draws me to play the album again in the first place, and has been for almost 50 years now.

The music sounded so good with the strings and Egyptian musicians on acid. My senses were so enhanced i was focused on every note. Porl Thompson from the Cure was with them 95 and he was phenomenal playing the guitar parts just like the album helping Jimmy out. Porl had to leave later in the tour, though. Plant thanked him.
