2:21 NOBODY talks about Page's hybrid picking in the right hand. That is his secret to so many riffs/solos and why so many guitarists cannot copy him using only the pick. It's old fashioned 1950's Scotty Moore style picking. It's a style and sound that are different from all the cookie cutter shredders of today. And that's just one reason why he is so damn good.

Damn good job, and I'd love to know where they performed that at. As great as it was, many will be surprised to know when we caught the Page/Plant Unledded tour at the O-rena in Orlando Fl, they literally blew us away with just about everything they did. This song they did better than I've ever seen or heard them, I mean, we were all totally shocked. Pagey evaded lots of solo licks in this version..........but him & Plant both flat tore it up & had us all mesmerized in O-Town that night. They stripped down to just a stage rock band & played many of their old tunes & went for nearly 3 hrs! During the 65 mile drive home, we kept turning the radio on, or a few cd's we would try for a minute.........but after what we just witnessed, nothing else was worth listening to. We kept shuttin' that shit off as the Zep performance was still rockin' our heads. We even kept saying to each other: "I can't believe how bad ass that was" & "We just witnessed & were blown away by the greatest performance, of any band". Page used only 2 Matchless tube heads on 2 half stacks. Not sure if they were 50 or 100w, but he had the best damn tone you ever heard, barr none. My friend & lead guitarist at one time was considered among the very best guitarists in the state. He was with me and later said: "Page just scared the livin' shit out of me"....lol.

@@bws1971 Thank you. If only we had it captured on video with good quality audio. I've seen & heard quite a few of the Page/Plant shows from their Un-Ledded tour that year.......but none of them were as good as what we witnessed in Orlando that night. We also had around a dozen different friends who also attended the same show, but everyone had different tickets/seats, so we never saw each other during the concert. But we sure talked about it for weeks afterwards.......and everyone was in agreement: it was the best concert any of us had ever attended. This was also the only time I ever seen or heard of Page using Matchless amps. There were no Marshall heads anywhere to be seen on stage, just the 2 Matchless heads, and each was sitting on top of a Marshall half-stack. I would give a week's pay if that show could've been properly recorded & shown here on youtube.
