I also recommend Pilates for building core strength, sculpting the core and making it more flexible, and also for improving one's posture.

Providing known examples of ladies who won titles without spending thousands of dollars would be most helpful. Doing it inexpensively is one thing, winning while doing so is another. -- She's well before your before your time but Charlotte Lopez, a former Miss Teen USA comes from mind. She supposedly won her crown in a $25 off the rack gown.

Wait so pageant diectors influence judge decisons?
@DaniWalker4 жыл бұрын
Yes, every pageant has a judges orientation. This explains the scoring process to judges, and what the system is looking for in a titleholder. In some systems this is lead by the director, in others it is instructed by a judges coordinator who works on pageant staff. Every system is different, and scoring criteria is different too. There's often a judges manual or guide book that breaks down the specifics of/rules of the competition. This is often not disclosed to contestants. Pageant organizers don't typically had the judges a score sheet and say, "go for it" with no instructions or guidance.

New to your videos Dani and curious if you've done a video about body modification; such things as veneers, breast enhancement, liposuction and other cosmetic surgery. As an example, I'm curious as to how many coaches and directors asked you to consider removing your facial moles. Plastic surgery is becoming increasingly popular among contestants in some organizations. I'm sure this is a concern for some prospective contestants.
@suzyaustin3039 Жыл бұрын
I disagree that judges don't look for someone like "last years winner". If you look at the Miss Usa contestants, many contestants look similar year after year. Even i n international pageants typically Miss world but MU and others too, winners look similar year after year.
@DaniWalker Жыл бұрын
Often times the ladies will look similar because of the overall branding of a system. Of all the panels I’ve judged on for systems like Earth, USA, Mrs. America, etc, I’ve never heard a director, judges coordinator or other judge say they are looking for a physical reincarnation of the reigning queen. If queens looks similar it’s based on styling choices. A great example would be how some women win in multiple systems. They can look very different competing in MAO vs Universe or Grand, yet still win. Their change in appearance reflects the organization, rather than a previous titleholder. And when I reflect on my own titles between 2006-2017, the women who crowned me looked nothing like me.

I must say, it’s all so subjective that I have to wonder how consistent the judging is; even after your providing the breakdown. I felt like there was more consistency under Trump (he wanted a beautiful woman with a humble and kind heart). Now, whether it be Miss American or the MUO pageants, the women are expected to be so much more, where the physical beauty is an afterthought. I realize I complain to you about this over and over, so my apologies for venting. I’m just so frustrated with the MUO.
@DaniWalker4 жыл бұрын
Pageant judging is certainly subjective. I think IMG is just consistent in a different way. They want beauty, well spoken queens, and strong stories.
@bryannapasternak64894 жыл бұрын
I personally love the new ways of judging! It’s great to look past what you see on just the outside, and really get to know how the girl is on the inside!

Dani Walker - I must say I love how you respond to everyone. That’s extremely considerate. Your parents obviously did a great job.
@alexanderengland71044 жыл бұрын
bryanna p - I wish I could say I agree, but I absolutely hate it. It’s devolving into a virtue signaling competition, where those best able to deliver the most PC response wins.
@ML-xh6rd4 жыл бұрын
@@alexanderengland7104 -- Delivering a thoughtful, defensible response to a politically charged question is an important skill that Miss Universe must possess. She's representing a global organization in addition to her home country and herself. The last thing they want is negative press because the title-holder provided an opinion that was unpopular with a large cross section of people. An intelligent, articulate queen who knows how and when to choose her words carefully will always win out over a strongly opinionated one.
