Roger, even though I agree that us as pageant fans shouldn't be tearing down the pageant industry for its faults; I do believe thar at some point we have to be very loud with our criticism for the powers that be to take heed. Especially muo. If they don't change that pageant will fall.

South East Asian countries did well this year-a small region working hard internationally. Unlike Indonesia, Malaysia can only send minority communities to pageantry-ordered by the government. Since MW eliminated the swimwear segment, they should only allow Malays to compete in the local pageant as if they focus on BWAP.

Supranational crowning Indonesia was pure politics. Whenever established national organizations send a winner and not an appointee or runner up they get favored. Same thing happened with South africa in 2022.

HELLO THE PAGEANT NERD, I love your commentary and I am a faithful follower and subscriber. I must ask however, why don't you follow or comment on the Miss America Pageant? The delegates of 2025 will arrive in Orlando, Florida starting this coming Monday. Crowning our new MA on finals night, Sunday January, 5th. I'm a former Miss Wyomimg 1980 so I've seen a lot of changes since the first Miss America, Margaret Gorman, from Washington D.C. was crowned in 1921 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. THE MAO, I thought was nearly done until Robin Fleming breathed life back into a staple of American history. Your reactions, and thoughts about Miss America would mean the world to me. Hi Susan, thanks so much for your comments and question. It’s a real honour to have former titleholders watching my videos - once a queen, always a queen! As to why I haven’t commented on Miss America in my content to date… To be perfectly honest, it’s because I haven’t followed it over the years and such I lack the knowledge to confidently speak about it. I started following pageants because of the international nature of it. Miss Universe was the competition to got me hooked in the beginning. It’s also because I loved other things to do with countries coming together and competing against each other, e.g. the Olympics and Eurovision Song Contest. I think the Miss America system is an incredible platform for young women, especially with its commitment to education. Despite its recent issues, it’s remained resilient and is hopefully back on the path to better days. I saw Alabama has just won this year’s title - I’ll be sure to check out the telecast and start building my knowledge by reading up on the history of it. Maybe in time I’ll be more equipped to make content about it - I really only would want to do so from a place of some knowledge about it. Otherwise, I don’t regard my voice as having any value to the conversation. Thanks again Susan, and my very best regards x

In the leaderboards of who won Alpha Pageants the most, not once did Thailand's name show up. I'm confused, where did the narrative that they're a pageant powerhouse in Asia come from? I really thought they were sweeping the charts prior to watching this video.

Thailand has certainly been performing well in the last decade or so, but have yet to break through for that third title (their most recent one being 1988). In terms of recent performance they’ve definitely up there, but indeed that hasn’t converted into featuring in the all-time records.

Too many categories of too many global pageants tackled - gave dizzying effects to viewers. Suggestion on tackling one category at a time among different contests or one category like “top 3 opening numbers of MU” over the years - as basis for improvement of MU country- hosting. For example, my top 3 MU opening number thru the years are Moscow, Taipei and Bangkok - sorry dont have exact year. While top 3 worst are florida, Perth n New York

Out of the big 4 i think only Miss World has pretty goof production and also the fair results. MU is already in downfall. ME is totally dead. I have forgotten MI. Because i watch pageants for the sake of entertainment. The excitement & nervousness that it has. Unfortunately major pageants lack. So my hopes are only on newcomers. Especially Miss cosmo because the organisation is very big & rich so I'm sure they're gonna give better and better every year. Also Miss grand & supra are doing pretty good job. Out of the 4 big i might end up following only MW.

Too many pageants to follow. I'm overwhelmed 😩 I hope some of these pageants omit the talent portion of the competition. It's just a waste of time. Sometimes these talents have nothing to do with the mission of their organization. I can think of magic tricks, juggling, aerial arts, science experiments, and many, many more. If you like them, then good for you, just don't respond with a reason to convince me. You're not going to change my mind.😑
