What a breath of fresh air your tututorial is. This is the first decent tutorial I have seen on Pages, it's actually a decent program once you have a walk-through. Free open source word processors are ok, but on macOS, this was there all the time.

Good tutorial. But learning Pages feels like learning how to fly a Boeing 747 that is carrying a space shuttle in a thunderstorm with no gps so that I can visit my neighbor next door. 99.99 % of the features of Pages I will never use, Is there a basic simple word processor available for the IPAD?

Thanks for this video. Very helpful, but it doesn't solve a problem I have. I use Pages to design flyers, etc. Sometimes, I want to select a layer that's in the back. But Pages only allows me to select the top layer. How can I select objects or text that are in the back? Do you have a video on this?

How do I get the toolbars you have. My Pages on my iPad has practically nothing... I can bold and italicize and color a word going deep into many menus but otherwise I've got no way to do just basic tasks within the page. How do I get these complex, complete toolbars... there is NO menu on my page that takes me anywhere to get all those options. It's mainly just a blank page with not much on it to help. Thanks

Is there a way to get rid of page break lines? I use large font and page breaks seem to come CONSTANTLY. Also........I think I know the answer......but the blinking test cursor (not the mouse cursor) is too small. Can you change that? I think no because Mac OS accessibility doesn't have this feature--like Windows does.

I have a document in pages. It’s got the original text in black. I want to edit, completely in RED text. I want to change the colour of text to RED until I change it back. Have a horrible feeling this simple thing cannot be done! ? Lots of people showing how you can select text already written, and make it CHANGE to red, but not how to set it so all future text is say, red, blue, etc. Weird. Help? Thanks if you can .

On Mac, Pages has some fatal bugs that were absurd. Put images in the the document and press the space a few times from the top, then the images are combined. No matter how many times I ask the developers of Apple service center, they don't know how to fix it and they say it's like a bug.

I came to learn how to add the introductory un-numbered thesis pages to my several-hundred-page long thesis document -- title page, dedication page, etc. -- and have those added automatically to the Table of Contents, which I did figure out how to do myself and which is amazing. There was no help for answering my question on this video.

A "Perform Find" (Command-F) can be used to find all double spaces. The Replace feature can then be used to replace one or all of them in the document at once. 😉

When I try to "Find" a word in a document, Pages will tell me how many times the word is in the document but when I try to advance to "Next" or "Previous" it will not advance. Does that make sense and can anyone help ?

I didnt even know this was a word processor program until I had accidentally clicked on it. After brief use, yup, I canceled Office 365. I just want a decent word processor program that gets updated that Im not tied to a subscription. Didnt know Apple made their own like version of Office. (I have both PC and Macs at home. Amazon will not accept my manuscript because there are numerous blank pages at the end of my document (13 pages to be exact). Oh dear. You are in trouble if you didn't happen to originally type in the layout document body... NOT the DEFAULT document body in pages. I'd like to know how you made out. I'm about to respite a 60 page document so I can change and delete pages!
