Dance Moms' Chloe Lukasiak: grateful for Maddie Ziegler rivalry ‘manufactured’ by Abby Lee Miller

“Dance Moms” alum Chloe Lukasiak has a positive outlook on her made-for-TV childhood rivalry with Maddie Ziegler.
“I am so grateful that I experienced the show exactly as I did because it’s made me into who I am,” the reality star, now 22, tells Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast ahead of Lifetime’s “Dance Moms: The Reunion” special.
In the two-hour catch-up, Lukasiak unpacks the emotional turmoil of being pitted against Ziegler, now 21 - the latter of whom did not participate - by their browbeating dance teacher Abby Lee Miller.
“I always thought I wasn’t enough,” she tearfully says in the trailer for the reunion, looking back on the many times Miller showed favoritism to Ziegler. “Like, in every single way.”

1:51 now that I’ve healed from my own past trauma, part of me wishes that I spoke up more. However like Chloe said, it did indeed shape me into a more empathetic and hardworking person. I don’t want anyone to go what I went through and I want others to know that if they’re also experiencing the same thing from a young age that it’s not normal and you can talk to people about your problems since there *are* people to help you ❤

I was thinking the same thing. I’m not saying Chloe but Christie definitely! The get together they mention wasn’t even at Melissa’s it was Maddie who hosted it at her house. Yet Christie mentions Melissa trying to squash any bombs. Plus Chloe even says this reunion wasn’t mentioned. I was going to watch it but watching these interviews plus with Jojo and her mom on I’m going to pass. It’s still going to be heavily edited and I don’t think it will be the total truth.

@@charleneschwab8879 my thoughts exactly. Christi for sure. I think Maddie invited them all knowing they weren’t going to the reunion but still wanted to make some effort to see the girls so it didn’t look like the zieglers didn’t care about them. Christi just has to try and turn everything into some kind of ulterior motive, mainly because she can’t move on from her feud with Melissa. I think the Zieglers didn’t attend for that exact reason, knowing the reunion was being producers by lifetime it’s obvious they’ll make it look anyway they want it to with editing and influence on what to say, so it won’t be genuine, and the way the show made them look in the past how can they trust them again? Abby loved Maddie we all know that, but the producers didn’t seem too fond of Maddie and put a lot of effort in making her look bratty etc, which came with a lot of back lash from the shows fandom.
