I'm mad this episode is one of the worst rated in the Criminal Minds fandom. Paget gave such a great performance. She put her whole Pagetussy into it and it barely gets the appreciation it deserves

@artistic persona: True... and not so true. For the dedicated invested fans the persona of the character has more meaning, regardless of physical beauty. But a lot of the regular watchers of the show are more sensitive to the sex appeal factor. The demographic figures show that. A good example is Stana Katic on Castle. From a certain age her face became very "fleshy" and to be honest, she became ugly. For her new show she has undergone quite some plastic surgery. But with CM the invested fans were a great influence, so getting "a bit older and a bit less attractive" wasn't that much of an objection. Besides... Paget... noses get better with age. And, although I totally don't understand it, but man... she has one big sexy honker. Ohhh... wowww... Cleopatra reincarnated. (Also an iconic woman famous for her impressive nose).

That's not what I heard and what I read about. CBS just thought both AJ and Paget were easier to get rid of to save money. It's a shitty reason to be kicked out of a show given that at the time there were only her, AJ, and Kristen as females in the cast, so it must have been awful for both of them to be considered less valuable to the network. I love the characters to this day and it's absurd to think AJ lost her job because she wasn't looking great... C'mon, she was always gorgeous from start to finish.
