No anchor nor panelists nor commenters are responding to my questions !!!! SIMPLEST QUESTION is that; Do SGPC and Akal Takhat Sahib have any power or mandate to interfere in working of elected Punjab Govt (more especially if it is Congress, AAP, BJP) ?? Current situation in Sikh/Akali/Punjab politics and religion is raising some questions for common people. I request you to please respond to my comments in one of your programmes. Impression we are getting from current Akal Takhat Sahib, SGPC, Akali Dal and politics around it is that Punjab is officially a sovereign Sikh state and Akali Dal and Akal Takhat+SGPC are Monarchs and Religious arm respectively and former is answerable to latter in running of that Sikh state. For common Punjabis, Akali Dal is a politically party (Sikh dominated of course) who are democratically elected to rule over Punjab that is home for 55% Sikhs and 45% non-Sikhs. Any political party in democracy faces some political compulsions and makes some maneuvers accordingly to keep the system balanced. Mention of "political compulsions" also appears in some happenings around life time of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji (Dara Shikoh, Wazir Khan etc). Is it possible and practicable for a political party in democracy in a secular state to toe the line of a particular religion and people thereof? Can that party run the state by following the advice(diktats?) of religious masters of one religion? Will that be acceptable to 40-45% population of the state who are non-Sikhs? Are views and comments of anchors and panelists not isolating Sikhs from national main stream? Can office of the Govt/System/Executive be run under instructions from religious clergy(afghanistan or old saudi model)? Will it not divide and further weaken Sikh community as they are already not on one page. More or less Akali Dal and leaders thereof have still been maintaining the status and aura of a Sikh political party. These happenings could make Sikh community and politics thereof a laughing stock. Look at the current scenario. AAP and their IMPORTED leaders are ruling over Punjab as if Punjabis lack will and capability to do so !!!! This weakness and split in Sikh community is the result of this dilemma and mess of mishandled RELIGION & POLITICS/STATE structure !! Is it not the same narrative being pushed with more vigor ? Consequences will better be imagined than experienced. In recent elections in Punjab, 17% people voted for Akali Dal who is more or less bound to listen to Akal Takhat Sahib, Jathedars or SGPC !!! What of 83% who voted against Akali Dal,? Majority among them are Sikhs? DO they care who and what Sikh religious bodies are? Will Congress, AAP, BJP, BSP i.e. ELECTED GOVT OF PUNJAB STATE seek or accept any interference from AKAL TAKHT SAHIB or SGPC? WHERE IS SIKH POLITICS HEADING TO ????

RAMUWALIA JETHE DEKHE TAWA PRANT OTHE GAVA SARI RAT
Sikh Sangat already rejected performance, Top Leadership and its modified policy during 1997-2019 of Akali Dal B . Now only solution is replace Tankhaia Pardhan with Pro Panthic, Baptised , Dedicated, Educated, Energetic Personality .
Ramuwalia jadon badal dal ch shamil hoya te Mohali ton incharge bnya - odon ehne mohali vichon koi CMO, AMP , tehilsildar , police station te hor mehkma shadya hove jis ton mahina na kya Howe , hun eh baitha matta de reha ! Eh ramuwalia operation blue star to pehlan te baad agencies da informer c , hun eh Sikh haitaishi bnya firda!
Very critical and thoughtful discussion with some tangible futuristic steps for revival. In my personal views, in addition to solving the present crisis, we the Sikhs need to develop a multi-pronged long-term approach for the Panth in the form of preaching of Sikhism to the new generation in modern contextual setup like having a Sikh Think Tank etc.
