Reviewing this again, as all my synths are in storage after a move, 2 years ago. Thanks again, Chris, and Happy New Year!

Right back at ya'. I'm actually going to be dusting this stuff off and using some of it at my first gig (with some other folks) in February.

@@cnagorka Great to hear from you! I hope that you will be able to at least record that gig in audio if not video? Wait- dust it off...? Ha ha... sad to learn that, but, I must as well...

@@marsmediapro We plan to have someone record the event on video and post it...wherever!

Thank you for making this video! I built mine back in 2002 without knowing anything about synthesis and once it was completed (and Scott helped me fix the CV output ground bus wire) it was still a perplexing unit for a beginner! Lots of features packed into these modules-and once one gets familiar with the design's normalization (and more help from Scott) the 9700 starts to shine as a great little synth. If you haven't already, you might want to let Scott know about this video-he will probably be elated to know a good visual explanation exists!

Great! So you can still get these? The web site hasn't been upgraded for, like, the last 20 years...

I have finally followed this in order to get a *bleep* or 2... and a couple of questions linger- is there a headphone output? the dip switches on mine are recessed- is that normal? What type of tool is used to flip them? A tiny screw driver? :O I have never used such tiny switches and want no harm to come to them! And now, I need to dig out a Y cable- I have one here somewhere...

Just to answer this - Yes, the dip-switches are definitely recessed. Mostly because you won't be changing them around too often.
