Dear Mr. Ahmed, the correct spelling and pronunciation of this word is mizhgan ( re with three dots) not mizgan (re with one dot) in Urdu. She is correctly pronouncing it as mizhgan which, it is possible sounds like mijgan to your ears but to mine it doesn't. I believe that Ms. Gaitonde's Urdu diction is flawless in the many, many pieces I have heard her sing. Best.

एक बार ही जी भर के सजा क्यो नहीं देते ,कभी हस्ते फलक हूँ तो मिटा क्यों नहीं देते........ बहुत खूब गजल को अच्छा गाया है मुबारक हो पूजा गायतोंडे जी शुक्रिया । निवेदन है कि संगीत की आवाज थोड़ी कम होना चाहिए पेगा पैलेस का साऊंड सिस्टम बेहतरीन हैं उसे गजलो की गायकी के साथ ट्यून करना चाहिए।धन्यवाद

Very soulful rendering." Saja", "Maza""s expression and swar came out very very nicely. One thing Puja should agree to Kumar Gandharw's opinion that Tabla is an accompanying instrument. In this matter she should follow Begum Akhtar meaning not to give to much space to Tabla player. Tabla is an accompanying instrument, it should follow the Gayak and not dominate him/her. By dominating the Gayak and particularly Gazal Gayak that spoil the whole mood and aura the Gazal creates. But can new comer like Puja dictate such terms. It is doubtful but she should make an agreement with Tabla player before start of the program And should dare to break this stupid tradition. All the Best and tons of love Puja.
