Since the C-Firma Day Serum has Vitamin C, the shelf-life is only 6 months. That is why I don't have backups of it. I do suggest putting any backup Vitamin C products in the fridge to help make them last longer.

I think the clock starts ticking when you open them. If they’re sealed, I think they’re still good for a while. Maybe not YEARS, but a year or two. I could be wrong, though.

@@jacqueline6135 a year or two is not enough time to use all that up though. In a year you go through maybe 3 face moisturizers and 4 cleansers. She has hundreds . So that's like 10 years of skincare

fusionpunk 13 All of that? Probably not. But depending on the product, it can go up to a year past the expiration date if it’s sealed. If it’s a product like, for example, Sunday Riley’s Vitamin C moisturizer, it’ll only last about six months because of the ingredients. Just all depends. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jacqueline Ludwig with certain things, yes. But not with everything. Like I guarantee the orange DE c-firma day serum was bad before she could get to that backup. Vitamin c goes bad very quickly. And for some reason that DE I've goes bad super quick. Even the brand itself recommends to never have a backup of that specific product.

I’ve been panning my beauty products and I’ve used over 260 products this year. I’ve finally figured that that hoarding products aren’t helping me in any way. It’s better to use them up then have to repurchase than for something to go bad. I’ve also found that it’s mad decluttering easier because if I don’t really care for a product, I’m not going to force myself to use it with as much stuff has I have. But I love keeping stuff till its use up, it’s oddly satisfying lol I still have 75 items of skincare that doesn’t include sheet masks. I’m hoping to get that number below 50 by the end of the year!

i have a few different cleanser serums moisturizer ect based on how my skin is because i have super acne prone skin and when its that time of the month, when i travel, different times of the year, ect my skin will act up idk about her though. i don't have as much but enough for me personally 3 cleanser 5 serums 3 moisturizers 3 spot treatment and a couple face masks. they all get used regularly and i go through them before they expire.

Rachael Smith I’m so sad all these young women and men spending soooo much money on cosmetics! I hate that they spend a fortune. I spend way too much in cosmetics however I have my forever home my kids are very well taken care of they don’t miss out that’s for sure! But these kids should be saving this money for their future it hurts me to see it! Even big influencers this is going to last for so long then what I can’t stand that no one try’s to help them!!!

Rachael Smith yeah you can definitely tell she buys things for the simple fact of just having them from an expensive brand. Because she really doesn't have a lot of great serums or anything like that. It's just what's expensive, so she thinks it must be good. It's also funny how what she did declutter was definitely the cheaper stuff . . . It's all for show with her.

I would check the expiration dates of all your products for an “easy” declutter lol. I found for my products, I was able to get rid of a lot of sunscreens and sheet masks that I loved but definitely wouldn’t have used if I found out it was expired

I love declutters and enjoy watching your videos but just a friendly reminder that skin care products have a much shorter shelf life just becareful how much you purchase. In the long run you'll be spending more money just to declutter. Plus your skin has been looking A1 amazing and you wouldn't want to use something that has expired.

@@anner1460 I use a few different cleansers. For daytime I typically use glossier milky jelly except for 2-3x a week when I use mario bedescu glycolic acid cleanser. I have a neutrogena acne scrub that I use occasionally for breakouts but that isn't a weekly thing, its just for when the occasion rises. for nighttime I double cleanse with an oil cleanser and then foaming cleanser. so technically I use a total of 5 cleansers. there were 3 others I was previously using before I settled on my current routine that I am happy with, so I have finally decluttered them and I won't be buying anymore unless I stop being happy with what I already have

Why so much skincare? A lot of this will expire before you get through a significant percentage of it and you have a lot of products from different brands that do the same thing so why keep multiples especially when you can't recall the products you have? (Side note- that Sephora mud mask was not repackaged, they have two of those.)

If you are wanting something to help you declutter your sheet masks, look for the ones that contain mineral oil. It’s terrible for clogging pores.

Mineral oil does not clog pores. The molecules are too large to even penetrate. Use science backed research instead of beauty gurus as your source of information

Honestly, you're wasting so much money when you could be buying stuff that is actually helping your face and skin. All those backups are just sitting there in the drawers wasting away, then by the time you use it, it's close to expiring or probably already has expired (and you don't know it). I threw everything with denatured alcohols and fragrances away and finally started using The Ordinary! Huge game changer for my skin! My face could not be any clearer or smoother! I've narrowed down my skincare to 4 products in the morning and 3 at night. That's it! I have way more room for other important things now!

Aoife Otoole I know you didn't ask my opinion lol but I've tried both and the FAB ones are way better. I don't really feel like the Noxema ones do anything. The FAB actually work. That being said, be careful how often you use them. Because I used them like 5 days in a row and it made my face peel like crazy lol it was no good. But they do definitely work to dry your skin and acne up!
