I look forward to watching your lives every week, but yesterday my family drove 3 hours south to see the eclipse in Indiana to see it at "totality". It was worth the drive. We went to a small town outside of Fr. Wayne, called Monroville and found a small cemetery, called Odd Fellows Cemetery to watch without a big crowd. It was a popular idea, there were a few cars there with families that had the same idea. It only took a few moments to experience the entire thing, but well worth the drive. Spending time with my kids is always fun. I like watching you because you have similar values, you always mention your family and the importance of keeping memories through scrapbooking. I'm also very passionate about that. You are a wonderful teacher and we are lucky to be able to watch you do these layouts with so many techniques. I have done some sewing, but will be doing more because you inspire me to try more things. Also your use of watercolors has enticed me to purchase some and give it a try.

I'm so glad that you were able to see the eclipse, I watched on my computer but can only imagine how amazing it must have been in real life! Thank you for your kindness and watching the replay and taking the time to leave such a heartfelt comment :)

Loving this layout! Hearts are always a winner, and your eye for color is exceptional. Thank you for sharing your ideas and your thought processes. I don’t know if you noticed it or not, but the horizontal lines in the photo behind your daughter perfectly aligned with the horizontal lines on the first paper you laid the hearts out on - I liked how it looked like an extension of the photo.

Love this. Larger shapes seem less intimidating to stitch. I think I might add the washi to white cardstock before attaching if the background color changes the tone of the washi. I’m pretty sure I’ll try this. Thanks!

Where did you get the paper piercer page? I've been using the Tim Holtz pick, but I'm not sure if it's thick enough/too thick? (Pamela McGillin)
