I remember seeing you crossing Torbay Road as you headed back up towards the station. Spotted myself sitting outside Wetherspoons, happy memories. Paignton gets a bad rep but it’s no worse than any large town in the UK. Definitely head up to Goodrington and Broadsands next time. Great video.

Love the old fashioned feel to these seaside resorts. Great to know the history re: Victorians railway journeys to here. Some great photo opportunities under and by the side of the Pier. Very, very relaxing. Last time I was here (7 yrs ago) it appeared a bit tired, but its so, so much better now. Missed the pastel coloured houses on the front last time I visited - they're really lovely. That and the steam trains, it's a must see hey.

In the summer on Wednesday evenings they have a very large collection motor bikes on the Prom and they raise money for charity old and new. From Easter till October well worth seeing😊.

The memories from my childhood 😢 spent many holidays down Paignton, I remember that Poundland by the train crossing was Woolworths back in the 70’s. Any chance of doing the Goodrington and Youngs park area when you go there next please as that’s where we always stayed, thanks for the great videos 👌

So glad you mentioned goodrington sands and Young's park, we always visit there when we are in Paignton and Torquay. A lovely walk from the harbour over roundham head and down through the cliff paths to a great beach, the park and the water park. Also a great place to watch the steam trains.

@ Yeah a really nice walk around the headland, I remember back in the 70’s and early 80’s there was a pitch and putt golf course around the top where you walked, no idea if it’s still there ?
