It’s because Paimon’s english VA couldn’t maintain the original voice they were doing for her, it’s gotten more high pitched because going up an octave is more comfortable than the lower register they were using. (Paimon’s english VA has a naturally high pitched voice already). I personally like the change bc, while it is a little ear-splitting at times, it makes it feel like Paimon has gotten more comfortable and energetic around us (the traveler) as we’ve traveled together (*^▽^*)

Reasons why I like Paimon: 1- Comedy 2- She always looks out for the traveler Examples of 2 : -In Liyue after the "reunion" she genuinely tried to cheer them up and was the only one who was there for them. -In Inazuma when the traveler got struck down, she tried to wake them up and do something although she was visibly scared. -In Sumeru, I have no words. When she thought that the traveler was never coming back in the samsara she cried, and was extremely worried. In the Sumeru archon quest, when they got caught in the sand because of an earthquake, as everyone was going down, Paimon tried to pull the traveler out although obviously she didn't have enough strength. And finally in Scaramouche's story quest when the laser was coming at them (scene where scaramouche receives his vision) instead of flying away and protecting herself, she was heading for the traveler in the hopes of pushing them away from the laser or something like that, which I don't think many people noticed. I obviously missed a lot of those but I think you get the point haha..

Watching this cutscenes brings back memories from when I first started playing the game. Good times. It was all so new and mysterious. Whats over here? And what does this do? And what do I need to do to access this place? I shouldn't go to this area because the enemies are super strong but I still want to explore it! Now its turned into grinding and grinding for talent level up materials, ascension materials for characters and weapons and artifacts. I really hope I can get that feeling again when they realize a new city. But I only felt like that when traveling through Mondstat, once I got to Liyue I was more familiar with the game but Liyue is beautiful so it was fun exploring it.

@@jonatlisa5521 I haven't had the chance to explore much of it since school started again, I haven't even done Yoimoyas' story quest and the one after so it pissed me off when some youtubers decided to make their thumbnail the scene where the traveler in on the floor after Baal attacked. Fuck them. But what little I've seen, it's fun exploring and the enemies are tougher so I enjoy fighting everything I see.
