I will admit my guilty pleasure is seeing people start up their first XBC3 play through and just sitting back excitedly waiting for them to reach Chapter 5. It's like a rite of passage, I've yet to see anyone who didn't get emotionally destroyed by this chapter. Also the scene starting at 28:50 is such a flex, the cinematography is crazy when you notice that it's done entirely with one camera instead of cutting to different camera angles. Fun fact, Chapter 5 was trending on twitter for over a week when this game first came out. I'm so happy that no one spoiled you.

I've watched those scenes so many times by now. First when I've played the game first and were at that point (at roughly 2 a.m. on a monday, I thought "just this quick cutscene before I head to bed" ... yeah, that workday was slightly strained afterwards). Then through various reactions (because it's kind of nice to see one's own emotions mirrored by others). And despite that, those scenes still do not fail to move me when watching them yet again.

When I edited this video I realized exactly what "My Noah" meant because i had already played through the beginning cutscenes of Chapter 6. I was losing my mind.

That breaks you the first time, and then on any subsequent play throughs during the M fight cutscene when she tells Noah to strike “her”down, and that’s what the subtitles say, but if you listen closely, she also says strike “me” down. It’s The only word in the entire sequence where she’s speaking through another character and says something different than they do. The hint was there, but I’ll be damned if anyone actually catches it on their first time. especially with subtitles on, cause our senses are so linked, that we will hear what we see over anything else.

Got a lot of non spoiler stuff to say about this one. Firstly. Let's just give a round of applause to Noah/N VA who absolutely delivers with his range. Secondly, what a note to end chapter 5 on right? The emotion of the wrong flute coldly rolling on screen gives me chills no matter how many times I see it. They are so good at making you feel so strongly over the details in this game. Thirdly, I want to talk about Shaina a little, I'm of the group that absolutely adore her as a tragic character that you ARE meant to pitty and kinda hate. She is there to challenge the players point of view of the cycle. Her point of view is frankly one I think a handful of the folks from the city would realistically have, a sort of envy and desire for the chance to have another go around in life with a chance to do better. Of course the player has watched how awful the cycle is first hand so 99% of players are going to be like "yeah you are wrong" and that's fine I agree with it too, she is wrong but when a player stops and considers her view point and what the cycle must seem like from the people of the city, her point of view becomes a bit more of a the challenge the game wants it to be, from an objective standpoint anyways, she would rather go into the cycle and remain ignorant and unknownly have infinite potential, than have one life that she feels is already half squandered where it's revolving around people who from her perspective are lucky enough to have multiple chances to succeed. Again I don't agree with her choice to betray everyone to join the cycle because she is only looking at the big picture and not think of what her experiences will be like in the cycle but she made me stop and consider those who struggle outside the system, and for that she is one of my favorite foils in the game. Just good world building.

That's a really good point about Shania. I think I was too emotionally messed up by the situation with Mio to even think about Shania, honestly LOL I was just really mad at her right then.

This is, in my opinion, the most climatic point in the game. Everyone cried here, and everybody got so attached to Mio that you really feel like you're trapped in the same situation as the rest of the characters. Ok, by this point, I must clarify something. Ouroboros is the symbol of either a snake or a dragon eating/biting its own tail. Moebius is a symbol that looks like the infinity symbol. Specifically, a Moebius band, which is a figure that only has one face, in other words, is a 2D figure that forms a 3D figure. No mattee where you start a pathway in a Moebius band. You'll see you're tracing the same face. Both symbols represent neverending cycles. Although, under my interpretation, the game treats Moebius as those who wish to stay stagnant and never changing, a static eternity. While Ouroboros represents neverending will to go forward, a hope that never dies.

Always a pleasure to watch someone get just as destroyed by this game as I was, LOL! The Xenoblade series seriously changed my life, and I'm so glad to see it impacting so many others as well.

Will you save the game? I saw a video the other day, where explained with detail, how the music, the scenes, dialog, and even the “absent” gameplay since we get kicked by N, all come together to make the player feel that “I can’t do anything” emotion (since we can’t do anything but watch) when I saw all that… I really confirmed, Xenoblade 3 it’s a masterpiece underrated

- Bit annoying that M can do that Eclipse Soul thing in her first phase, before you have a way of targeting her puppet. So it's possible to lose HP fast and not realize why. Doesn't help that you don't have a Hero at your side (not even Riku & Manana, for whatever reason). - Man, X disabling Lanz's and Sena's Interlink is an indescribable kind of cruel. (Is it Obrona you're thinking of? Akhos's Blade?) - Damn...Anton's not gonna get to enjoy another Michiba Canteen meal after all. - This is probably the most effective "powerless" moment I've ever seen in any video game. Noah's futile throttling of the cell door, learning what becomes of Homecoming recipients, seeing time pass by, even the hope spot that maybe Noah might draw Lucky Seven, only to be hindered by N bringing him his flute...And if you really think about it, it's all a strong sort of self-loathing on N's part.

Uhhh, you can have a Hero on the M and N fights. You just have to give up, then add a Hero on the last checkpoint. There's no penalty for giving up anyways.

Theres not a single guy out there that can't relate to Noah. "My Noah" destroyed me. If it were me, I wouldn't have even had the strength to crawl and pick up the flute when N threw it down. I would've been paralyzed in despair.

Pain and suffering sounds about right. Which is so wild considering how heartwarming the chapter was at the beginning. Everything from the breakout to the end of the chapter was masterful. To think it went downhill just because of Shania and here I thought she would just be a mild issue. Her mindset is intriguing cuz I was wondering if someone would be aware of the cycle and prefer to embrace

in the first fight with M, even though her power wasn't shown to you explicitly yet through the cutscene, she can still take control of your party members. I've seen many people go in with a Full Metal Jaguar class and get absolutely decimated by their Talent Art. meanwhile, player have no idea why everyone just suddenly died 🤣

What Sena was basically alluding to in the prison, because of how much she saw in Shania in herself comparing personal struggles, she could have mentally followed the same road Shania chose to go down. Mio reassuring Sena that she is a good person inadvertently supports the concept that if Sena didn't have a support system like Mio and then meeting the others, who helped her overcome her personal struggles, she could have very well had a similar mental breakdown Shania did. Shania didn't have a support system like Mio was to Sena. I didn't feel sad for Shania for the choices she ultimately made, I felt bad that she didn't have a support system to help her get through her struggles. It unfortunately happens and turns potentially good people bad.

Yeah that's a really good point. Sena has friends that genuinely care about her and show it with lots of support and validation. I think Ghondor cared in her own way, but didn't really express it as supportive. Hence why Shania went the way she did.

Not Moebius ... she is now a soldier under the Flame clock system .... meaning she goes into the whole 10 year life the rebirth to doint again ... Moebius have an red/purple infinity symbol in their Iris .... Ouroboros has a blue-green ouroboros snake - in their iris ... Normal soldiers have a flame circle ... that depends on how much their flame clock has ... thats the one Shanaia had in her Iris

@@aekosamu She means the battlefield of Moebius and Ouroboros. The color of her flame clock has no meaning, but Z can only make her Moebius, if she is connected to a flame clock. That means it isn't a spoiler. Just what she said.
