While I understand that Draken was grieving, what he said was foul. He blamed Mikey for Baji, Pah-chin, and Kazutora when everyone’s actions had nothing to do with him or his leadership. Baji was stabbed by Kazutora and killed himself to alleviate Kazutora’s guilt, Pah-chin wasn’t satisfied and stabbed the man that was responsible for his friend and his friend’s girlfriend being assaulted, and Kazutora killed Mikey’s brother and went in denial and blamed Mikey for his actions. Nothing about these events are faults of Mikey’s leadership but somebody has to be blamed at the end of day, and the issue with Toman is they put Mikey on this unrealistic pedestal with high expectations and believe this motherfucker Superman just because he’s got excellent fighting skills. All of them put everything on Mikey and expect him to support them in every aspect, and they don’t have to do anything for him because he’s “Invincible.” Tbh, Toman is incompetent and a bit useless. Like I’ll be honest, they are a bit weak minded and yeah it is wild that Takemitchi, the physically weakest of the captains, the one who dropped out of middle school, and the one who got the most to lose, ain’t running away (anymore) and like “yeah. Hell nah. We got to end this shit now because who knows wtf can happen next.” And he’s not wrong. Akkun words did make everyone else kind of look like a bitch no offense.

This is EXTREMELY out of character for Draken to blame Mikey for all of this. We’ve seen him being wise and level-headed since the very beginning. However, the author needed a way to drive Mikey into derp darkness. I hate it when authors do this sort of thing. Toman definitely depended too much on Mikey like you’ve said. You gotta remember Takemichi was running away for 26 years. He admit that himself at least several times before. I’m glad he got character development but you’re comparing teensin a gang with someone who’s in a teen body with a mind of a 26 year old which isn’t fair.

Exactly, Mikey lost a lot of people in his life at a young age and his gang expect too much from him. I get Draken is upset but he is putting all of his angry on the wrong person. Kisaki caused so much problems not Mikey.

When we first get introduced to Draken he appears to be the most level headed, however, in the time skip after Taiju and his siblings arc, we have the whole scene between Draken, Mikey, and Mitsuya. In that scene, Draken recognizes Mikey is off the chain and going down a dark path. He even says he doesn’t like the change in Mikey. Instead of talking Mikey down and trying to help him from going down this fucked up path knowing it will be bloody, Draken says he’ll remain by Mikey’s side no matter and doesn’t try to prevent anything. I thought that scene with Draken and Mitsuya was wild because they recognize Mikey is becoming worse and a killer, they simply allow everything to play out. There’s nothing reasonable about that. The characters in TR aren’t one-dimensional and Draken is a character that suppose to show that just because someone is know to be mature and reasonable, doesn’t mean they’re always right and without faults. Also, Takemitchi is an adult in his 14 year old body but he’s also emotionally and mentally stunted, and a part of his character development is him catching up to his actual age in the present future. Most ppl forget Takemitchi is an actual adult for half the series because he’s so stunted. Even Chifuyu forgets and Takemitchi told him everything. So I don’t think mentality comes into this tbh because it’s an even playing field. Most of the background Toman members are followers and it’s pretty obvious in how the behave and act.

If you’re bringing manga stuff into this or things that happens in the future that hadn’t been shown in the anime then it’s not valid at this moment bc ppl can change over time. From what we’ve already know of Draken, he has NEVER acted like this before. When Takemichi went to the future for the first time, he was in prison for murder and we found out Kisaki manipulated him into that. He had ALWAYS care for Mikey. I got spoiled by some pos and that’s how I know that statement to be true.

nah kisaki has brains but never throws hands 😭 he’s never fought anyone himself, thats why he has hanma as his lackey. its smart, but he will never have takemichi’s courage which he’s envied since childhood, thus hina nor mikey will respect him like they do takemichi. only time he killed someone (on his own) in the past was thanks to a weapon targeted against an innocent girl. kisaki would probably get rocked by other characters worse than takemichi because he doesn’t have his durability and thats why kisaki hides behind ppl stronger than him in every encounter

That's because they don't respect him. One of them said it, "You are a captain now but it doesn't mean anything, you're still a newbie". They have been in Toman for a really long time, so for them, Takemichi is only a newbie who became captain because he's friends with the commander and the captains. Just imagine their position, some of them have been in Toman since the beginning, gone through all with them, and then the newbie who has only being a couple months in the gang becames the new division captain
