Chronic pain was what caught my attention big time when this perimenopause journey started. It started with low back and hip pain then each year it kept moving up the back into the neck, traps, shoulders, back of the head, etc… I hope this gets better. I’m in pain when I work it and when I do not work out. This chronic pain is so misdiagnosed. MRI after MRI. Blood test after blood test. No significant findings. This period-menopause has to be my issue. I do all the right things and still feel the pain. I notice it is worse the second half (PMS/Period) parts of my cycle. This all really hit the fan at 40 years old.

Hi everyone, I feel your pain, and like you, I've suffered with joint pain. In my wrist, elbows, back, knees just everywhere and sore breasts. But I have found that by taking a good quality evening, primrose oil 1500mg a day and collagen for my bones helps a lot. The evening primrose doesn't work straight away. You need to get it into your system it takes about 3 months before you get results. This works for me it might not work for everyone. I just want to share my experience, and I am now into menopause. My last period was 14 months ago. I believe if we all share our experiences, we can all help each other because the health care professionals don't seem to have a clue. I have never been in so much pain. Feels like my back is going to break and hurts very badly so much I can't stand up straight for like 15 mins when I stand up from sitting. I was checked for RA. Negative. Blood tests say no inflammation. I am taking powder collagen every day. Haven't noticed a change. Still in a lot of pain. I have also been taking 2 Vitamin D daily as well. Just want some relief because I can't do 3/4 of the work that needs to be taken care of around the house. I have the same breakfast every day. I call them, “Wonder Woman Eggs” 4 Large Eggs (scrambled), 2 Tablespoons Hemp Hearts, 1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast, 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds, 2 Tablespoons Ground Flaxseed Meal, 1/4 cup Cilantro, 1/8 cup Parsley, pinch of salt. I also eat half an avocado and half a cucumber with the eggs. My naturepath doctor said this is super healthy. Thank you again Kari for making these videos. I have osteoarthritis, in addition to being mid-menopause. Don't know which one helps most, but I have found great relief with the combination of Vitamin D, Omegas (fish oil), and tumeric. Come to think of it, more help came when I increased the Vitamin D to 1000 IU daily. CHECK WTH YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER before taking any of these supplements, especially if you also take prescription meds (which I do not).

I can't thank you enough, and wish I'd seen this a year ago. I went into this with a joint reinjury (that one was verified) and another few that.....seemed injured before the final descent into the classic obvious symptoms. The mistake I made was....no one told me, so I attempted a joint repair surgery that....let's just say had I seen a video like this, I'd have saved myself a rather sad outcome and canceled it. No one told me. Worse, they can't answer if the joint will heal at all with sudden menopause a factor because...none of them have studied this. You know more than they do. I will try the collagen, and bless you for making these.

Thanks again for sharing your videos,. At the age of 57 and being over most of the troublesome periods, there is one thing that sticks and do not go away. My left arm witth different pains on different places it feels like it will fall off soon. I don't know what to do about it and it is hard to see a doctor in my area as there is a shortage. It is hard for me to explain myself about my pains anyway the signals from top to bottom varies. The joints in the shoulder are making a crackle sound and I've no idea if it is ok to do lifting as an exercise? Top of the arm feels like a bruise when touching, around the elbow it feels sore and around the wrist is a muscle that hurts on/off and I don't know why or what it causes this. Putting my arms in the air for exercise causes my whole left arm into pins and needles and is getting hot in the shoulder. Luckily my husband helps me with lifting heavy pains when I'm cooking so that helps a little but it is so annoying not knowing how to cope some times.

I feel for you! I had frozen shoulder in my right shoulder for eight months! Then it went away. Then I had tennis elbow in my left elbow for five months. It went away. I think my issues were related to an unhealthy diet back then, and caused inflammation. I had a health scare last November that sent me to the emergency room four times. It scared me so bad that I immediately changed my diet. Radically. I got off all sugar, caffeine, dairy, simple carbs, and processed foods. Now I eat only whole food-plant based but with red meat and chicken and fish (sometimes), and I eat a large salad with homemade dressing almost every single day. I lost 24 pounds in three months. I now weigh 127 lbs. A LOT of my inflammation has decreased and I feel really, really good. I only have a little pain every now and then in my left knee. I am saving up to buy the Biocell Liquid Collagen, since it’s a little expensive. I am hoping that will help with my knee. I am 52 years old. Been in menopause since 2022 (last period was February, 2022). We’ll make it through with prayer and wisdom from God! I hope your arm heals completely! God bless you!

Thank you for this particular video. I'm postmenopausal and I'm unable to take HRT vaginal estrogen for my own Comfort I am not in a relationship I do a lot of meditation to reduce pain and relaxation and I realized that suffering is also in the mind and how I react my pain is very important so I'm cautious and observant of my feelings about my pain. I have everything you've described and more. I use two types of collagen one for my skin and nails and hair and one separately for my joints. I know they help because if I stop I hurt even more but I still hurt a lot even though I take them they are hydrolyzed. I stopped going to doctors because they just look at me like I'm crazy and they say that I have arthritis and what did I expect I'm 58 years old. I walk every morning though and I'm in good shape I don't drink or do drugs and I eat healthy everyday actually everyday. I make sure I get enough sleep and enough water I'm doing all the right things but I've also decided to accept that this is where I am in life and if I resist where and who I am right now I'm going to make this very difficult. I have slowed down a lot and I give myself permissions not to do things if I can't and I tell myself it's okay because it is throughout all of this You Have To Be Your Own Boss and you have to be a kind boss to yourself it's very hard because we've always grown up believing that pain means something is wrong but right now pain means I am in post menopause and my estrogen has dropped but that doesn't mean that anything is wrong or I am broken it just means that I am changed from before if it really really gets bad I take two Tylenol so I can walk across the room which I'm grateful for. Slowing down doing things on my own pace and not apologizing for that is important. Don't be sorry for who you are and where you are in life we are survivors we have survived dying earlier in our life which is what everybody wants to do and although this seems like a cruel punishment for achieving something like that I have to continue to see these things as discomforts and inconveniences instead of things that identify who I I am now. I'm proud of myself for not reaching for drugs or alcohol in my pain I never have and I know that wouldn't help me in the long run. Everything comes up negative and I'm just done with testing. The best thing I can say is to be gentle and kind with yourself. Be your own best friend. Sometimes in my mind I have to force myself to walk into the courtroom of life and to look at the judges Podium and to see that there is no judge there and there is no prosecuting attorney and there is no audience and I am free and I am not convicted of anything just because I got older. I take a breath and I realized that I made it through today and I will make it through tomorrow and a positive attitude never hurts even though my body does. I'm so thankful for your KZbin channel. You'll never know how many women were at the end of their rope when they discovered it. Many women live for their kids or their husbands or their jobs but in this time of our life we have to take a space and live for ourselves too. Again thank you and be strong and cry if you need to and take care of yourself

@@KariAnneWright I changed doctors about that time and did not have a gynecologist that would continue prescribing the hrt. So, I was in a financial bind and did what I needed to to get into a family clinic that has a copay. The P.A. that I see now can do paps, but she cannot prescribe hormones. When I got to her, I was a few months past 60, and my previous doctor tole me that I would need to stop taking them around 60. My ob/gyn that I had seen for many years hhad retired. Boy, I've missed him at this stage! Anyway, since I was 60, the PA could not prescribe, I did not pursue it and shortly after all poop (scuse the pun) broke loose. I’m in pain all over. I also have other health issues that go along with this. I always say my hormones have to have something to do with this or that and the Dr’s just don’t have a clue! Life helps with heart health, Skin helps with skin, hair and nails, and Immune helps boost the immune system. All of the affiliate links are listed below with discount codes. We woman (real woman) are screwed big time. I still haven't found a good doctor. All they want to do is give me loads of medicine. I won't do it. Feel pain almost everyday. No hot flashes though (it can't be menopause they say). I learn more here hearing from other woman and Kari. We should get together and come up with a solution to this hell we go through. Problem is "one size does not fit all". We are screwed big time.

Just about six months ago my lower left back began to hurt. I thought I pulled something but it didn't heal. Went to orthopedist who took an x ray which showed I have beginning degenerative disc disease. My argument is that if this has existed in me why all of a sudden am I in pain?! I also have neck pain. He said same about neck. Now my knees are hurting and at this point I don't see the point in going back to the doctor. I just started taking a popular collagen powder. Not sure it's the right one for what I going through. Kari... Any suggestions? Could all this be menopause? 😞
@KariAnneWright
@KariAnneWright 7 ай бұрын
I don’t know if your issues are all menopause but what I do know is that losing estrogen and collagen does affect all of the joints, tendons, muscles and ligaments. Taking a quality collagen supplement and vitamin d and getting adequate protein and building muscle in midlife is essential. If you can use hrt replacing estrogen can help too. Unfortunately it’s not an option for every woman myself included.

I have a question. I'm 50. I have an FSH of 25 and my obgyn says I shouldn't be having a period. But I read on the net where I could still be. He is wanting to do a uterine biopsy and ultrasound. Is this really worth all the concern??
@KariAnneWright

Having a period at 50 isn’t odd. Many women are still in perimenopause at 50. When I had an fsh of 29 I was still having regular periods. The fsh is just a snapshot of that moment in time. It fluctuates.

They are more likely to be a pain in the butt in menopause(pun intended).😊 I don’t think you can permanently get rid of them unless you have them removed but you can control them. Witch hazel and avoiding constipation or sitting too long on the toilet will help.
