I just want to give some hope for anyone who is dealing with tms now that It will get better! I can say I am doing 80% better than I ever was in these almost 4 years with GI issues (mainly nausea and bloating/gas). My overall approach to health got better … I got from freaking out to calm. It definitely wasn’t easy dealing with fear and doubt but it was definitely worth trying. I would say at the end of my journey my symptoms got even worse but I stayed calm and consistent with safety messages and symptoms settled. Now I am doing so much better! I would say even if you fear/overthink or you are anxious you can still heal! Accept what you are experiencing but don’t engage much with it. I still deal with an anxiety but my stomach is not upset. Thank you Dan! Seriously, earth is such a better place with you and people like you in it😊

When I struggle I tell myself, “there is value in this journey.” It reminds me to think abt how much I’ve grown and changed. Learning to slow down. To be kind to myself. To prioritize mental health and connection with others. I’ve never been more resilient. The journey sucks sometimes, don’t get me wrong, 😂 but overall it’s good for me. Thank you Dan! Great reminder.

This experience, finding you and joining this group has been life changing for me! It's been a long seven years, but I know that I'm finally on the right path. The good Lord placed me in the right place at the right time when He nudged me to look at that first KZbin video about TMS. I think most of us can say that we've found an inner strength we didn't know existed. Thank you Dan for your calm reassurance, your knowledge, inspiration, love and support. Your daily messages are invaluable! ♥

Dan you truly are an earth angel. Your daily videos have become a part of my life & I truly appreciate your consistent, calming voice of wisdom, sense, love & kindness. This video was beautiful in every way. I am learning I am not my sensations, fear or thoughts that come from the past when I didn't have the correct information given by you. To be kinder to myself whilst on this journey & trust I am where I am suppose to be. Many loving blessings to you & the PFY family...and the frogs!!💚💜

Dear dear Dan !!! Your words touched my heart ❤️. You are so right ( as always😂) . I have definitely grown soooo much and have gained so much wisdom and knowledge BECAUSE of the years of struggling and surviving life . Yesterday I shared in the call how my life has changed so much for the better since I started listening and being part of the group . I am not back to the Dorien I used to be before 8 years but so much wiser , and extremely happy that I went through what I had to go through . I am so grateful for this journey and maybe I have not expressed enough how your words really connected all the dots . From knowing loads of stuff from books , meditations etc etc to really knowing and feeling it in my heart . Your words in this video brought me to tears because I really feel your ( daily) support and also the recognition that indeed the journey can be really tough and challenging. And it has been like this for me , but I am getting to the other side !!!!! And dear all if I can do this , so can you . Love to you Dan and the whole community

Wow. I’ve been thinking exactly what you said in this video. The symptoms suck (!), BUT, I’ve gained so much. I’ve learned self love for the first time (I’m 53 this month). I’ve learned how to make myself a priority for the first time. I’ve learned how to accept myself for the first time. I’m still on the journey (and I’m ok with however long it takes). But, if I hadn’t have found you Dan, bc of my pains, I wouldn’t have found these parts of myself. That’s a blessing. Love to all of you 😘

This is like the most gentle reminder I've ever heard in this harsh world where everyone basically judges you and works so fast towards their goals. Because when you can't get out of this pit of darkness, you'll be left by people around you, and all you've got is your suffering and pain. But maybe there are reasons why God gave us this trial and regrets over life decisions that we made consciously or unconsciously. Maybe God wants us to understand something, to understand the concept of gratitude. The more gratitude you are, the more are given to you. But comparison evaporates joy, so if we constantly compare ourselves, we won't get anything but pain, there are no lessons learned from it. We are where we are supposed to be because there are lessons we need to understand so that we can grow better, we can understand life and ourselves better, we can actively make efforts to become a better and useful person to others. The pain of regrets can't be erased and it certainly hinders us from opportunities in the future, but what can we do? What's done is done, and we can't fix past failures. If other people wanna judge or mock us for our past failures, or even if destiny feels like mocking us, so what? It's indeed shameful, but it's also something that I learned about. The fact that we shouldn't get swayed by our emotions and not to take everything deeply. Just do whatever you need to do, you already know it, you're just afraid to do it and your brain tries to protect you from those uncomfortable feelings. *Free yourself from pain by doing something that pains you a little bit every day, but it's gonna give you the best gift at the end of the journey.* Always look up new opportunities, because even pains, regrets, and failures teach us something. And don't forget to ask for help from God, because only He could make everything possible.

Dan, this video brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful and so true. I can honestly say I KNOW I am making changes and becoming a different person. I am changing in ways that I never would have without TMS. I feel this deep in my heart. As challenging as this journey can be, I feel myself learning, adjusting constantly now. I have so many Ah ha moments now. We are damn strong - ALL of us! We are learning to trust ourselves, learning to be our own best friends, coaches, therapists etc. What a tremendous gift. Not only are we not sick/broken (which is a gift too) , we are given the opportunity to have a much richer, happier, content life when we all get to the other side of this. Thanks for the video, Dan. It's what I truly believe, but to hear you say it out loud, was such a gift. Much Love, Donna

I've learnt a lot about myself on this healing journey. After watching today's video, the post arrived. Letter from the hospital for my husband. Freak out! Why do I always react so badly (self criticism) to hospitals? I sit and think. I worked and trained in one for several years, I should be used to them. Hang on, my mum made me get a job there! Light bulb moment! I turned down a teacher's college scholarship for her. Wow, it's taken me nearly a lifetime to discover that was people pleasing. Thanks for the reminder Dan, that self criticism is fear. I've now made the decision to stop.

Good man Dan ❤ wow, wow, wow. Like others I cried during this video. Your words and your love of us come through so strongly. Yes, I’ve learned some hard lessons about myself, such as always, pushing myself so hard and being so critical. Typical type A overachiever. I’m trying to control everything! I don’t know if you, or anyone else is familiar with the Enneagram, but I am an eight, the Challenger! I was reading a great book on it the other day, and the author said the one thing that eights need to learn how to do is rest. The same day I was driving past a church and the sign on the outside said, “REST”. There was one more message from the universe of rest that day. You can’t make that stuff up! Love and kindness towards ourselves. This is a difficult journey that requires great strength and great faith. Dan, are always a light in the tunnel.

I've been in the program about 6 weeks now and things are turning around. After 3 years of daily pain I am now experiencing pain free days, sleeping without medication, wearing jeans again comfortably, and am sitting with much less pain! I am back to fully living my life again. I also feel I am now ready to start running again soon. I know this isn't completely over yet but I no longer live in fear. I now know that I am really ok. Thank you Dan for your wisdom 🙏. It resonates a lot, both the positive and the negative. Many times, often during the day, I find myself ruminating, and hating where I am; the suffering, the loneliness, the bad choices leading to it, etc. But sometimes, generally in the morning or at night, I have the peaceful realization that everything is necessary. Without this suffering, I wouldn't be so dedicated to my spiritual path and search for Truth ; I wouldn't have sought beauty in music, animals, landscapes and flowers as much as I do now. I wouldn't be this sensitive, and sensitivity is something I love about myself. so obviously all these years of chronic symptoms have shrinked my life, but they also have increased the depth of it. The depth of experience, feeling and meaning. And hopefully the more I stick to this realization, the more my body-mind will reach a state of peace

Someone please answer me this. When in the moment, when the symptoms are unbearable, when I'm just squirming in my seat, extremely uncomfortable, because my body is so uncomfortable, what can I actually do in the moment? Yes, I'm clearly stressed, but I'm stressed because I feel so unwell, doing some deep breaths or accepting the symptoms doesn't shift them and it doesn't shift the tension. My body, specifically my neck, throat and mouth, are crying because they are so uncomfortable. All I'm included to do is try and distract myself but even that doesn't work. What am I supposed to do, when the symptoms are there, prominent, strong, intolerable, which is almost all the time??

I've been going through a few things which I'd like to share with you, I'll try to keep this one short but this is really important. I am 23 years old, and I have had an herniated disc since 2021 August, i didn't get anu treatment until December 2021...back then i did mri , and i found out I have an l4-l5(diameter 9mm) l5-s1(diameter 8mm)herniated disc ... my l3-l4 was 13mm.. i didn't take much medication, i have mostly lived through some sort of pain throughout this time but i have a noticable problem of lateral shift which means my back has inclined a bit to the right and it's really a horrible and embarassing feeling to be among peers and to be discussed about.. that's why i was doing these lateral shift correction exercises but it didn't work out as expected.. instead i now have a neuropathy tingling sensation in my right leg and that's why i visited a very renowned chiropractor recently..he asked me to do 3 session with him but also he suggested some tests..blood tests and ncv..and again a mri..the blood tests came normal, but today i did nerve conduction test(ncs) and it was very horrific..my left and right legs were checked upon through electric shock to detect nerve damage..i now have some discomfort and shock feeling in both legs at times..anyway he also asked me to do mri again..which i think i should do to check on the structural problems that might have been triggered.. What do you think? What i must do? I am trying the mind bidy approach for sometime now but it doesn't seem to work .. I had reached out to you a few months back regarding another issue which was acid reflux and gastritis, that i have been able to fix

@@sianhaycocks6887 aw thank you for your kind words. I too think I'm too old, most of the time. Today(Wednesday) I'm not so positive lol Sometimes you just got to go for it, nothing to lose. Forget your age, experience is priceless. X

Hi Dan, this work applies to ALL symptoms right? Including chronic fatigue syndrome? I was told I have central sensitization, then chronic fatigue (which is just a central sensitivity syndrome) but I don’t feel like I identify with it as I identify with TMS, so I’m choosing not to (other than for my temporary disability app). My thing is mostly pain and post-exertional flares. Also since the onset of my symptoms I’ve noticed during times of fear they’ve gotten increasingly worse. Hence I resonate fully with your perceived fear/danger. Have a pathological label sucks because I didn’t want it to begin with but chose to get it for my application. Now I’m doing this work, only 7 months into my symptoms (while doing my benzo raper). I WILL get better right? I feel in my heart I will. It’s just figuring out the real things to do. I’m reading Sarno and identify with all the character attributes and have an intensive trauma history which I’ve done years of counselling for. When the vaccines happened, and my nervous system shook up, I was in an immensely stressful season of my life and pushing myself HARD on all levels. Anyways the label issue… it’s annoying cuz that’s how the medical system sees the cluster of symptoms. But if we choose to not identify with it we will get better right?
