This is my first time back on site in a while. My husband died in May. I’m actually using your method to keep moving thru grief. My brain’s perception of pain has to change. I don’t have to save Tom anymore.

I have had a horrendously painful day and after going through about 3/4 of the day trying to remain calm and unconcerned I completely lost it. I mean I flew into a rage 😡 crying yelling, completely freaked out for 2 or 3 hours. BUT the good news is I used to do this about once a month and this is the first time I’ve gotten to this point now in almost 8 months. I’m making progress. Step by step day by day.

Hi Dan, thank you for doing these videos even on your holiday. You taught me I have a choice in how I either react or respond to pain/sensations. I now sit with a deliberate smile on my face as I let emotions come up. Sometimes tears flow, and it's ok. I hope you keep warm up there with the cool weather.

We can teach our brain that emotions are safe by feeling them without judgement along with clarity. tell your brain that emotions are perfectly normal, safe and do not have to create symptoms. And then, do your best not to react to the symptoms with fear.

Sometimes after sitting with the feeling and allowing myself to feel it, I will have a flareup for the next couple days. It seems to be a balance and I must still be thinking the emotion is dangerous in some way.

Good one. I watch when the emotions rise and swell and take over, and I see how seductive they are. It's an indulgence, hard to resist its pull. The seductiveness of despair, rage, fear. Interesting how suffering is mostly resistance, as so many teachings say, and also it is vital that we do choose to resist the siren call of indulging strong feelings and dwelling in them. feel them but dont feed them . An ongoing discipline. Thankyou so much for keeping these videos going while on holiday, and I do hope you get plenty of time switched right off....

Ahh ok. So Dan you are saying that we need to accept both the symptoms and to the rush of emotions that comes in response to the symptoms. Up until now, I’ve been fighting with the emotions that pop up, trying to ignore them or squish them back down, thinking that I was showing my body that I was accepting of the symptoms 😂. Thank you for this clarity ❤

We should allow all emotions. Just recognize that ruminating on them all day long will keep the emotions going and is not beneficial.

Dear Dan, i am looking for a way to stop having doubts about my symptoms. Than i can finally do what you are telling us to do🙈 I already alsked you a lot but still feel no convidence🙄 The problem is this. My pppd & eye symptoms started almost at the same time. Pppd after stress& anxiety first. The optometrist said my eyes accommodatie/ divergeren/ convergeren a bit to slow. And she can give me expensive training...she said it is just the collaboration between eyes & brain is a bit too slow. And now..the problem is...i did all you said for pppd...and..it is getting better and better!! But, with my eyes.... i KEEP thinking that it is a problem (after all the optometrist says so? and says i have to do excersises). I get stuck! The thing is, i DONT want to do expensive excersises, when it is the same like pppd or other brain (tms) symptoms! When the brain is not processing well only because of stress/ anxiety/ tired/ scared...than, i should be able to fix this without expensive treatment?! Than i SHOULD be able to just treat it like you say treat all tms symptoms?! The thing is only....because the optometrist SAID it is a brain/ collaboration/ eye PROBLEM...i keep thinking...but maybe this is a REAL problem and i can not fix it by just thinking it is tms.. I am sorry for the long story...i just really hope you can pount me in the right direction! For pppd & other anxiety symptoms you have helped me by your videos and comments so mucg already!!! I am just stuck with this last stupid eye stuff🙈🙈🙈please...your opinion really matters...to me.

Simply put, a brain perceiving danger can create issues with eyes. The brain controls everything...including vision. In a recent group coaching program, someone expressed they were having eye issues and two other members said their vision issues got better with this work. You can too. Doctors don't know everything.
