the best video on landmark technique on youtube thank you
@naturalobserver7 жыл бұрын
Super helpful as only video I've seen going through landmarks in good visible detail. Love the alternative landmarks, thyroid cartilage, 3 fingers etc. that will be super helpful in the obese patients. Well done

Thank you for the video without using ultrasound. As an SRNA, I would like to learn both with and without the ultrasound in case you do not have time for it or I am in a facility without one.

Thanks for posting. Viewers should know though that the standard of care today for IJ central line placement is ultrasound guidance. Because just about every medical facility in the US has ultrasound available, there is no excuse not to use it while placing a central line. It significantly improves safety and decreases complications.

That is a great point. These videos are outdated. I will make sure to put a note on the video specifying this as soon as I can. I still think they teach good overall principles about the steps to take, but I agree that they are not current with the latest practice guidelines. Thanks!

Hi sir, I just wanted to thank you very much for showing procedure without a ultrasound. There are still paramedics (like myself) who do these in the field and have zero access to an ultrasound. So your video on landmarks and access without ultrasound is still very useful

Just wanting to give a WARNING on PICC lines, they should never be inserted into a person with total leg paralysis that only has their upper body for transfers. The transfer from wheelchair to bed is enough to severely damage the brachial plexus nerves, and cause permanent paralysis to the patients arm.

It all depends on where you practice, but yes, they can do central lines

What is your specific question about arterial and venous blood?
@drrajdeepdhandhukiya5 жыл бұрын
Arterial blood sign : bright red Pulsatile There will be jet of blood as soon as you remove syringe Even if you missed all these sign you will have great resistance while inserting guide wire And if these couldn't make you alert there will be back flow in iv set At last X-ray will tell you position of central line

Спасибо,хорошо поставлено видео.Хотелось бы увидеть как это делается при остановке сердца,когда нет ни ультразвука ни пульса на сонной артерии и шея короткая толстая.А не на манекене.
