This is one of the games, where I felt the shooting was actually done exactly as I wanted a shooter game to be. The expansion was so much better. Unsure what the development difference was. But this is worth a re-visit from anyone.

I didn't look for info as to if anything special happened with the dev team for the expansion but it could be as simple as, they had gained a lot of experience working with the engine while doing the base game which they could now implement into the expansion 😃

One of the best game ever with insane graphics that still amazes me to this day. Moving ver very easy if you have mastered bunny hop from Quake 3 Arena

It's not as evident in the footage I used in the video for obvious reasons, but I did it a fair bit, especially during the expansion where there's larger open spaces and the sort of platforming parts
