For me, ease of programming is foremost. Especially in the field, when a quick/on the spot adjustments need to be made. I don't want to page through layers trying to find something. I will give up some capability for "User Friendly" ever time. Thanks for the review, you just saved me a $100 and tons of frustration

Hi Painless, have to say, I've watched your videos endlessly as they have really helped an amateur understand how to build a multi rotor and the Turnigy. one question, will you be doing a video on how to set up a multirotor on the plane settings as I'm finding some of the non optional settings in multi rotor a pain? cheers Billy

I'm liking this radio and am interested in the I-bus Receiver Channel Expander feature. I was wondering if you might be thinking of a short explanation of how this feature works on this radio. Ive read this feature is used for both telemetry and for expanding the receiver to allow you to use more servos in larger planes. I would be interested in knowing how this is setup. I've read the I-bus can connect 4 modules with 18 channels in serial at most button K1 and K4 correspond to C1 and C4 respectively. But I'm not sure what that actually means.

mine had a correction note with it saying by plugging in the four modules it will go up to 16 ch not 18 ch as stated in the destructions! :-)

I'm in the market for a new radio and was leaning toward the Taranis based on your reviews and Bruce Simpsons reviews. However this radio is half the price and appears to be equal with a better user interface. Again, your thoughts...

+EC White it depends what you want from the radio. The Taranis is very powerful, but can be difficult to program. This radio has a very nice interface, but far less capabilities when it comes to some of the more advanced things you can do. If you can see the radio doing everything you need to in these videos then it's worth considering.

Not sure, I don't have this radio now. I'd look at using a three position switch and using the midpoint/subtrim along with the travel adjustment to get the three positions you want.. Best of luck

hi,just got this radio and plugged it into ths usb port to charge,i got a blue light which I assume means its charging but no indication of status. I guess this means it has to be turned on to see if its fully charged? , also is the usb port live when the pc is in sleep mode?,dumb questions but I'm not very bright, thx

Hi, just picked one of these up. Wow, $99.99 US on Hobbyking! I had been looking it over for some time but the price point made a do it right now... One issue I am experiencing, the radio is informing me that the SD card is write protected (it is not), have you heard of this and if so do you know of a solution to the problem? Otherwise I am quite impressed with the range of programming and ease of use of this radio. Quite fantastic!

I was using a 32gb card and this is apparently too much for the i10 - overkill anyway. I switched to a 16gb and it works fine. Reply from HK was quick and helpful by the way. Thank you for the advice. Cheers.

When I set mine up for my wing channel 1 and 5 are reversed. Channel 1 stick controls channel 5 and channel 5 stick controls channel 1. I tried reversing them but does no good. Any suggestions?

Hi , I fly full house elec gliders. For some reason the motor will not run . I have butterfly/mixes etc but no motor ( it has in the recent past) . I have re bound, tried a new ESC, tried a different motor. All other functions are ok . Any clues anyone ?

Tricky to comment without knowing all you've tried.. I'd take it back to basics and make sure the throttle channel is moving on the radio. Best of luck!

Yup all good on the radio servo display , even set up a complete new model on the radio and mixed in all the variables = no joy . i even tried 3 different esc's and 2 motors. Now i have put the throttle on ch 8 ( aux) and put the throttle on the l/h slider, bingo ! All I can think is that ch 3 doesnt work for some reason . This may be better on an f5j and will use the throttle stick, as a variable flap/crow slider. fun times , flattened 4x tx batteries doing it ( they arn't big enough).

I'd try a servo on the throttle output to make sure that it's working on the Rx, best of luck!
