Ok guys, you asked for it! Here's a tutorial on the beautiful(does that word fit for Nurgle?) Phlugoth the Miser, the Harbinger of Decay for Maggotkin of Nurgle, thanks to ‪@officialwarhammer‬! Nurgle is my favourite Chaos god and this model is a lot of fun to paint! Even though it's mostly browns and greens, it still manages to look super interesting thanks to its incredible tactical rock base and that horse who has clearly trudged for many miles through many stinking swamps. Bonus feature with this video tutorial is the sweet sounds of an Irish summer...sorry about the noise from the rain! What's your favourite Dawnbringer character? FAQ:Adding a light spray of Grey Seer over a full coat of black primer adds a small amount of texture to the primer which gives the contrast paint more to grip on to. It also adds light and shadows which helps define the model more.

The rabble rowza is my favorite because a grot wearing an ork skull is something with a strong appeal to me but the Harbringer of Decay is for sure the best model of the bunch. It's got a real mythical quality to it

Ah the lovely rain! Nurgle certainly is (ironically) a pallet cleansing army for me. Maybe because I usually do such neat and tidy work the grim and putrefaction of Nurgle is so different to me. Great job on the model, I might have to get my hands on that model when he comes out as his own model!

A truly stunning miniature and a worthy homage to Frank Frazetta IMO. Really like your interpretation of the box scheme too, I'll be going bare metal for his armour too, seems to make more sense for Nurgle. If you were to go back, or when you do a second, would you lean into the weathering a little more? This version seems relatively clean (except the horse, I think looking at it gave me dysentery)

I'm more of a Khorne guy but that really is a nice model and paint scheme, must be a pain to spray properly though. Also I miss the Irish summer rain, in Canada we just get fires 🙄

So I don’t know if you’ve done one, I can’t find it if you did, is there a video/can you do a video showing your priming technique? Cause I’ve done chaos black with an overspray of grey seer and it always ends up lightly…cracked? Idk how to describe it. It never looks as clean as what shows up on camera at least compared to you. On another note, I love your videos!

@@MediocreHobbies i was thinking of modifying the scheme you made for the horse skin to use for the blightkings skin maybe try and make a couple of varients such as a bloated or rotten look as for the armour and fabrics you nailed their apperance
