You did very well 👍 If you do sand it up to 220 grit + 4 thin layers of paint , there is no need for primer , but the primer makes the job 100 percent bullet proof.

I've painted the heatshields on my bike twice now using the VHT paint. I prepped and cured it properly both times. I'm not happy with the end results. It looks good but if you even touch it the paint is so soft that it scratches instantly.

Hey so at 3:58, did u wet sand it again after that last coat of primer, then clean it up then start spraying black? Just asking b/c I didn’t see you wet sand a second time. So if you did, then you clean it up with wax remover then start black paint? Sound about right?
@TheImprovementChannel2 жыл бұрын
Yes, we did sand again and clean it up before painting.

Is the primer and paint nicely staying on ? As i read comment that it peals off on alot of people
@JimEdWright5 жыл бұрын
Polish Oskar we saw the same comments about the product. We guessed that most of the people skipped the step of heating the items. We followed the directions and put the mufflers in an over for the amount of time at the different temperatures and with the instructed cooling times as well. This was one of those steps that took over an hour and would have been easy to skip. We did it exactly as directed and as you saw also used primer. No pealing problems at all so far.

Hello, just a question. After the last layer of primer.. how long did you wait until you used the 800 sandpaper? I searched for a manual of the actual VHT primer and it says: Try to paint the primer and the paint itself within an hour. After the hour you have to wait 7 days for more layers... Thank you!

We did it all in one day. It has been a while so I am not sure.
