What was the thickness the tubing that you use. I'm planning on building something similar. I'm guessing you used ¼ or ³/¹⁶

So did I miss how much the table top cost? Not all the metal stuff just the top.
@TheImprovementChannel10 күн бұрын
It has been a while, I do not remember exactly, seems like it was less than 2k for everything. I doubt you could get the top for that now.

I think yes I would definitely remove the door it would just make it easier I think but I have another question do you not need a rubber gasket or something at least on the back side to so it's airtight where it keep cold air out I'm simply asking because I'm planning on putting one in and I don't want to lose my heat and air thanks
@TheImprovementChannel16 күн бұрын
Yes, there is a thick rubber gasket on both inside & outside.

I was thinking about your comment using chains and a bolt to lift up fence posts. I was thinking you were going to drill a hole near the bottom of the 2x2 and finish lifting the table with the chains on the jack.

This is the scariest video I have ever watched on youtube. I had to fast forward to make sure it ended OK. I love that you called those welds 'safety welds'. Not the term I would have used. I am a staunch advocate for free speech, but if I were to support banning videos, I might start here. I hope no one else tries this in the way you did. I think there are pretty easy ways to do this in a safer manor. Good luck to you. Please stay safe in the future.

I noticed that you started with using the roller and ended up switching to the chip brush halfway through. Was it a bad quality roller that smeared the mat around because it wasnt rolling freely or did you ever figure out what the issue was? I built one of these enclosures back in 2019 and I also ended up fighting with the roller because it was sliding the mat around instead of flattening everything out
@TheImprovementChannel10 күн бұрын
I probably did not get it clean between coats. The disposable chip brush was a little more my speed.

Nice content! How to register trailer? length of neck?
@dragonslayrАй бұрын
In order to register the trailer in most states it is either considered home made and gets a state certified inspection and number from the state police or DoMV, or the manufacturer has a license to build and assigns a registered serial number and title.
@TheImprovementChannel10 күн бұрын
Sorry I do not have that info.

Not sure why people expect paint to stay on if they are not using the primer. Prep is always key. Also I know some people just spray the paint on and never bake it as per the instructions. Sometimes that is the problem as well. Please though, use the primer if you like paint to stay lol.

Anyone crossing this down the road. If it’s not the bearings. Wasn’t making a bunch of noise. If you remove your pumps back cover. Shut the breakers off. A can with your fingers or with a pliers very easily turn the shaft. If you turn it on. While it’s buzzing. Very careful with a loose grip with some pliers. It you give the shaft. Even a quick 1/4 of a turn a pull the pliers off at the same time you do the little turn. The pump will take off an start running. Just as normal. A run all day. But if you turn it off. You’ll have to start it the same way again most likely. It’s due to the capacitor is bad an don’t have enough kick to get it spinning on its own from that dead stop. Most of the time. If it’s the bearings. You would have noticed your pump making a little noice or rough running sound. Or up to a really bad sound. An it finally locked up. An if you pull the cover off. If you can’t easily spin the shaft. It’s locked up. A you’ll hear the bearing making noise when you turn it if you’re able to. You can easily tell if it’s one or the other. Or if ya got a multimeter. Can kill the power pull ya capacitor off in hook it. Have an insulated screwdriver an touch both sets of prongs a couple seconds to discharge it. Read the sticker an just test it with the meter

It's 4 years later, is this guy still alive or has he collected his inevitable Darwin Award? This was like watching one of those "Faces of Death" videos. You know it's coming. Dude...make friends or spend bucks on equipment. Pro tip, you need heavy stuff moved, set your lift gear up, wait the neighborhood lawn crew is working, slip them some bucks to assist. That way at least the wife doesn't come home and find you splattered over your shop. Also, making that table top solid was "less than optimal". Should have made it using 4-6" wide x 4' slats, (order the slats cut to length) leave gaps between the slats, now you can clamp stuff and it's one heckovalot lighter. Want a solid surface, order 1" slats to lay between the wide slats that you can take in and out as needed. Frame it out, get your castors on, get it leveled, then weld the top slats on. No muss, no fuss, no death defying acts required. Making it with that big of an overhang and no support, means your edges will droop, and you can't make bolt-on dogs on the sides to easily line your work up square, weld on tool holders, or easily access storage underneath it.
