I have Dianthus that has spread like a carpet. I've had them for more than 10 years. It's a very patch. Once the flowers are done what do I do, it would take forever to deadhead such little flower.

I have a dianthus that is very woody. I've had it for about 4 years, but it doesn't look full like yours. It has long limbs if that makes sense. I've never pruned it as I didn't know if I should. I dead head it and it still flowers. What should I do with it?

@SpokenGarden I have Firewitch Dianthus, similar to the Paint the Town Magenta. Same colored foliage and is Evergreen. Mine are abt 3 yrs old and very leggy. How to keep it mounded with flowers closer to the mound??

Nice display but leaving those tags by the plants are just plain UGLY!...Would never do that in my yard...Don't plant in STRAIGHT LINES unless you are recreating an AIRPORT!...plant in odd numbers..3-5-7...

Hi SuperWoodyboy! 👋🏼👋🏼 Yes, leaving the tags in the garden for later reference and to help us remember what we planted is a choice, so "to each their own". This can also apply to design and what we find appealing and also what we can actually do in a specific garden space based on what we want, the plants needs, and the arcing of the sun in relation to shade and other factors.
