Spatter is fun, it doesn't matter who else does it, or doesn't do it. I used to do spatter when I taught 4 and 5 year olds, Good for kids, good for adults. Art should be fun and adventurous!

This is lovely painting indeed. It's surprising the wonderful techniques that can be learned from twigs, toothbrushes, wax crayons, cut up credit cards, etc. Thank you Diane for another great tutorial.

Diane, I loved this video and seeing beautiful YOU and your peaceful garden and happy animals. I'm always happy when I get the added treat of all of those things, along with watching you paint and create. Splatters make me happy. Thank you for another great tutorial.

Thank you Diane what a wonderful experiment! How beautifully you captured that unique feel of autumn with its glorious colours. How I love autumn....the richness and fruitfulness with the leaves, fruits and berries to paint, before we slip into the temporary greyness and chill of winter. That was really lovely 😊

This was a fun spatter! You have a very nice little farm and your chickens and rooster are so plump and happy! Thank you for sharing and I say YUM to the rhubarb! My great grandmother always saved just a fist full she’d say for me 😊 she would chop it and boil it with a little water and sugar, served warm. I loved it! (and besides her I was the only one that loved it 🥰- so special) Thank you for sharing pieces of your personal life 💕

I never cease to be amazed at the results of your paintings, and there is always something new to learn. Tone has always been an issue for me, taking a black and white photo to check it is brilliant! Also putting the bits in to decide where to put the birds is something else I will be doing. Thank you for all the ideas and inspiration.

This looks like so much fun, thanks Diane 😁 Ooh yum 😋 I love rhubarb, I used to stop at my gran's house on my way home every day after school, and she would quite often have a bowl of stewed rhubarb, apples or plums, for me in her larder. I remember hiding at the bottom of her garden in the summer holidays, eating the young stems raw, she would call out "Paul, you aren't eating that rhubarb are you?" 🤭Oops 😂sorry gran 😅

After watching yesterday, I decided to try this today, outside (because I am extra messy) and it came out amazing! I did have to rinse off the table, two chairs, the deck, and me because I had coated myself in paint splatter. Totally worth it! I am trying to find an old table cloth or something so I can do it again!

I am using Michael Harding, but you can use any Chinese garbage paint, really.... good tip. 🫤

lol, No, seriously I like a lot of the Chinese paint, it’s just most of it is in small pans and it’s hard to do big spatter painting with tiny pans 😵💫
