This is such an easy way to paint roses and looks beautiful too 💕 Perfect for Spring and Mother's Day 💐
I also want to make it known that this idea is not originally mine. I've seen versions made on paper so I thought why not try it on cake?
I used a tall 6" dummy for this project.
For the colours I used sugar flair duck egg (to cover the cake), baby pink and eucalyptus. I used sugar flair white dust to lighten the colours when mixing. I mixed mint green at first for the leaves but didn't prefer it as it was too bright for the cake. When mixing please don't add too much vodka as this paint has to be thick to stay on the plastic.
For the perfect rose I could only print twice and then I had to re-touch the paint on the plastic bag again. I tried printing thrice but the print was too light. I had to do a little touch up using the paint brush.
I kept it simple by adding a few pastel pink and lilac butterflies. I loved the print so much I didn't want to add too many things on to this cake. Kinda reminded me of Cath Kidson floral prints 💕
