That light/medium value background and blur really makes the mid and foreground pop. Very nice. It's a progression of finesse from Alexander to Ross to you! hahha Looks like you've been looking at some Bierstadt mountains for reference.

Antihero wonderful piece! I am working on one simimal, just adding a stream you added in a former painting. My delima is I mix the greens and the yellows and it comes out just as yours does but when the acrylic drys it loose that look that the sun is shinning on it, the whole color changes. Also my trees on the left, I want them in a fall okra and yellow as if the sun in shinning through that area, but again I cant get the highlights to stick after it drys. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to add to the paint to get it to hold its color?

Do u use liquid white before u start to paint ?

on certain parts he does. But harder to get fine detail with liquid white underneath. So probably puts liquid white on most the sky and possibly liquid white or clear for water areas. That's my guess.

Hmm, that's interesting. Naturally, you're consciously updating the Bob Ross experience, which can come across a little like an impersonation, but your artwork is quite a bit more sophisticated and you care to explain aspects he often skipped mentioning. Yet, he didn't skip nearly as much his painting process. Doesn't bother me at all what you're doing, I think it's great and appropriate. Rock on and beautiful job!
