I just got my sets today and can't wait to get crackin'! I've been using speed paints to get back into mini painting after a 34 year hiatus but have been feeling somewhat limited lately in regards to what I can do - or rather to get the results I really want. I really enjoyed this video and had a look at the paint sets. However, I realised I would have to buy not only the essential paint set but also the fantasy one because the essential paint set doesn't contain a green paint (or the green paints you used), nor does it have a blue in it to mix a green. If I bought this set and owned no other pains, I would be a little bit disappointed since you say in your videos that this is a tutorial to show us how to paint the miniature with the paints included in the set.

I have one small complain. It doesn't matter for me much cause i bought all 3 sets, but, you are showing mini for 'essentials', and using colors from dark future (parasite brown, verde green and more).. so you cannot even paint mini from box art without other paint sets. I thought that was idea.. buy 'one' and look what you can do. But you can't fully do that. I feel like it is a bit unfair with how it was advertised (at least how i understood it). Still nice tutorial.

Hey man, as we explained in the release video of the paint set, the essential set are skintones, a black, white and brown colors for leathers and horns. Colors you need for all type of paint jobs. You then complement it with the other two depending on what you want to paint. All three sets together will let you paint anything you want without having to buy hundreds of paints.

I don’t advise buying their paint. I ordered mine weeks ago and it still has not shipped. I messages the company they use a week ago and I have not received a response. I am very disappointed.

"skin tone" was named by a white dude without an HR or PR department / marketing to male dude hobbyists. Even crayons got rid of caucasian "skin" or "flesh" colored crayons decades ago for a flesh tones box.

Hey man, even if I agree that it's good to be aware that we are all different - we use the color skin tone as a highlight on our dark skin tones as well. It works just as good for that as brighter skin tones 🤷‍♂️ I think you're limiting yourself in how you think about skin color

@@squidlybits1985I’m the opposite of limiting myself. Having one paint called “skin tone” implies it fills the role of painting skin. But a set of paints for flesh tones, isn’t one of your boxes for that anyway???, acknowledges it takes blending and layering of many colors to achieve any variety of flesh tones. No person or creature has monochromatic flesh after all.

@@nnamhor so what you're telling me; it's A skin tone... Not the skin tone ;) if you check the list of paints in the set, we've got dark skin tone, pale skin tone, sunny skin tone. They're all variants of skin tone to create varied tones.

Great tutorial. However, kids watch your channel Emil. so please don't swear or beep out your swears - you got right to the end and then dropped the MF bomb. Why didn't your editor catch that? I'm trying to get my daughter into painting and I can't watch your videos with her in the room as you drop too many F bombs that aren't beeped out.
