If you are right-handed, paint that first. You won't be fiddling around trying to do it with wet polish on! Also, go from little finger to thumb - so much easier.

Thanks for sharing! Sometimes it's not us, but the brush as well, The brush the nail polish comes with also helps with a good application. Good wide brushes with curved or flat bristles help you make a clean line. Just painted three coats of a jelly red from China Glaze yesterday and I didn't do any clean up with a brush, (just along the sides of two nails with my other hand). Then there are bad brushes and there's just no way to make a clean line without resorting to clean up brushes. I like Essie, OPI is a similar brush to China glaze o think.

I can't stand to leave any part of my nail unpainted; I go all the way to the cuticle every time. It bothers me too much to leave the top and sides bare, even if it's only a millimeter of blank space!

Ever since I discovered the "leave a space for cleaner look concept" it now looks weird for my polish to touch my cuticles, its not smooth and polish is raised up a bit due to touching the eponychium. Of course I've practice leaving the tiniest gap instead of the gap that makes it look like polish has grown out for three weeks already 🤣

Work in verry thin layers and let them dry completley between coats. The long as you wait for them to dry, the better! 😙

Nice ventilated cool room. Don't sit directly in front of a heater or fan. Don't keep polish in hot areas. When mixing polish to apply, don't shake vigorously roll gently. When dipping polish to paint each nail don't pump the brush in and out vigorously. Finally work in thinner layers and let the layers dry a bit before the next application otherwise solvents trying to evaporate will have nowhere to go when you put another layer immediately after.

I always find that when i use both a base coat and a top coat the nail polish just peels off entirely after just a day or two. Anyone else have this problem?

Nope. Try only capping your free edge with the basecoat and top coat but not the colour, sometimes more than 2 layers of polish on the free edge is too much. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad basecoat

2nd coat is too thick. Paint your dominant hand first. Do the thumb, then pinky and work back to the index finger.
