even though this beading tutorial is an old one, 3 years ago, in my opinion this is an evergreen design necklace, evergreen in each time and season, it's a joyful design and we need joy in your life, so thank you Allie 💖💖💖

I love this necklace. It's not as hard as I thought it might be. As suggested, I watched your video on how to do the herringbone stitch, which made this video easier because it helped me understand "rows". In the "How to - Tubular Herringbone Stitch" video, you suggested separating out 4 beads at a time to help remember when it's time to step-up. That was an excellent idea! It really helps me remember where I am. Your videos are awesome! Thank you!

What a nice wrap bracelet this would make too. How about making little beaded beads from one section for earrings! This is a fun way to incorporate all the beautiful spring colors I crave right now!

Couldn't you also do a ladder stitch by adding sets of two beads until you have the four colums and fold into a tube and continue with herringbone stitch?

Beautiful design, as always! I am always very hesitant though to use the metal coated beads... My experience is that they loose their shine after some wear. Even Miyuki's duracoat, or the permanent finish from Toho. They are better then the coatings before, but they dó come off in time. Do you have a solution? Maybe a spray varnish or something?
@Potomacbeadco
@Potomacbeadco 7 жыл бұрын
We have never had problems with any of our staff members with Duracoat or PermaFinish, even after wearing for years through gardening, showering, white water rafting, etc. However, some people just have different skin chemistry. You can certainly try using things like clear nail polish over the entire piece. We have never seen a case like this in person over 10+ years, so can be hard to give specific guidance.

I love the design. Just curious, why don't you do a ladder stitch to begin this project. it would be much simpler.
@Potomacbeadco
@Potomacbeadco 7 жыл бұрын
I do it the traditional way but either works. I think it is easier for newbies to not throw in an additional stitch... but I go back and forth on that opinion.
