He looks very noble, I think the nobles were just there to do the things a King or Queen couldn't be seen doing themselves. A King could not sail off to Conquer new lands they needed to stay to rule and protect their own country so noblemen would do it in the King's name.

Also in the middle ages the nobles were the ones who took "care" of the feuds, so they actually did more things than the king did at the time.

Nobles are a class of (generally hereditary) landowners/lawmakers that were in charge of protecting and governing the people that lived on those lands. Different noble titles were typically based the size and location of the lands they were given charge of. Nobles were also often diplomats, military officers (like knights/generals), or clergymen because not everyone in a family is directly in charge of managing the lands (or they don’t actually have lands, just influence). Monarchs/princes are technically members of the noble class and the people they protect/govern includes the lower ranked nobles. Monarchs were able to give people noble titles (and the political power/land associated with them) because they were seen as owning the whole country. Knights are generally (depending on the country) also nobles but the title is usually granted on an individual basis instead of to the head of a family.

Titles were usually originally granted to a monarch’s friends, relatives, and allies (or as a reward for a service to the country) and then passed down to that person’s descendants. The power of a monarch to give (and take) the authority/land meant that nobles had a direct obligation to the monarch if a family wanted to continue being members of the ruling class.

Many nobles also just coasted on the luxury granted to their family, tried to gain more power for their families through (marriage) alliances/court politics, or financed the arts/sciences/trade.

He's so cute! Never thought of using this head before but now I want to use him for an elf character for sure. One thing I'd reccommend in terms of changing up a faceup if you're not happy with it, I've started adding a line of 'shadow" in the iris (just a darker shade than the iris colour) just below the eyelashes, and painting the pupils a similar shade rather than black because I think it softens the look and makes them less starey, plus when you look at people irl that tends to be how you perceive their eyes when light is on them. Also helps distract from any wonkiness haha about which I need all the help I can get

he's excellent. the outfit is awesome, the embroidery looks cool, and the fact that you used fishing line for this, is an extra point for me. i like repurposing materials :D as for the noblemen, depending on the era, they were rulers of town, districts. they would collect taxes, they would inform the king about the news in their area, raise armies when needed... during Louis the 14th's reign, there were mostly seeking attention, to grab the smallest titles of nobility... a bunch of groupies buzzing around the king, the luckiest of them could even be invited to the king's toilet in the morning, to watch him taking a shit (i swear this is true).

I don’t think it’s fishing line as someone who fishes on the regular. I’m pretty sure it’s meant for making fly fishing lures. So it’s like regular thread but slightly stiffer and meant to hold a pose and survive in water for an extended period of tume
