Oh,... These are gorgeous! 🥰 I just have to tell you, I've been binge watching your videos. You're just awesome! 🫂 Thank you for sharing all that you do. I finally found a few nice stones, and I've gone on a bit of a kick using my small set of colorshift metallic watercolors. So far, just hummingbirds,...but OMG,... I'm addicted! 😀,... and I haven't even resined them yet. You're right though, that small black and gold outline is the chef's kiss to set it all off. Thank you for all of your beautiful tutorials.🥰💖🪄 Next up,...chrome nail powders, and nail foils,.....wooo hooo!!🎉

Another gorgeous rock. I love all the combos of your feathers. Everything is better with glitter. I just bought a few Shimmering Loose Eyeshadow pigments from the dollar tree a few days ago and can hardly wait to try them out on some rocks.

Wow these are so beautiful!!! I have noticed watching you paint that you have a very light touch when you paint which is great to make all the swirls. I acrylic painted for years but haven't done much of it in years and and can definitely tell you that that is talent. I know you say you are self taught but most of the best ones are. I really enjoy watching your videos and hopefully they will inspire me to pick up a brush or sponge again

Hi Rachael, I'm so glad I happened upon your channel. Thank you for sharing your talent with me, and in plain language explaining how you achieve your art. I did have a couple of ideas for you to think about. First, have you ever tried sketching your art using a chalk marker. The white chalk can be removed with a damp q-tip. Next, when doing a gradient color on my fingernails, the polish is put directly on a sponge (in a stripe) then applied to my nail. The colors blend when dabbing it over and over...I wonder if this would work on a rock?? Thank you so much for sharing your painting, and I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can gather some rocks. Cathy

Hey Rachel, quick question; If you have a beauty of a rock but it has a couple of little holes about as round as a toothpick right where you want to paint, do you fill it and if so with what? I was thinking maybe toothpaste, like a nail hole in a wall and then let it sit awhile, but I thought I'd try and ask you first what you would do? Thanks! ❤🌈

I just use left over resin to coat my "not so smooth" stones. It fills in everything..so if you a few like that just coat them, let them dry for 24 hours then paint it! Then you can re-resin again to seal it. 🥰 I'm sure there are other suggestions out there you can definitely try as well!!

@@rachelsrockscanada oh my gosh, thank you for replying back and so quickly! I'm sticking with your suggestion. The rock is so pretty. It's smooth( except for a few pin holes) and stripped with like red bick and terra cotta, it just screams Arizona. I'm going to try your paw print tutorial on it! Thanks again! Lots of love from AZ🌵🌴💖💖💖

Prior to subscribing, I had just purchased a UV lamp and Resin for polymer clay beads and tiles I make. It’s disappointing as I anticipated the resin would add so much to my work. The resin cures but it is slightly tacky so I am curious about Art Resin - do you experience any tackiness?
@rachelsrockscanada
@rachelsrockscanada 5 жыл бұрын
It takes up to 72 hours to cure but after that it's like glass it's not sticky at all!!
