Oakley is such a sweetheart. I love Lincoln, he reminds me of our boy Strider. He was 14 when we lost him. Best dog ever. He herded my son and all the Littles that cane to the house. He wouldn't let them close to the road. When my son grew up, he carried a log around as his job when he wasn't herding the chickens. GSDs are amazing dogs.

Just now getting to 👀this & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great job Henson. You two are an awesome couple. At the 6:15 minute mark Oakley started to crow hop for a second. I love your training methods and the care that you both show to all the animals. That was really cute when Zar appeared, Oh he just runs around. He was checking out Oakley, telling you.....Mom, look, a girl, for ME? Also appreciate that you are teaching viewers training methods, and explaining why something is done. In WA State I was appalled to find, when looking for a horse that the ones called green broke, meant they had a few rides. Nuts!!! One woman had a mustang mare that was "green". I think she left out the broke part. First it charged us, teeth open, got her shirt. Then it spun and went over the fence behind it. Now it was loose in her backyard. She said if I could catch it, the price would be $200 cheaper. I said she was welcome to keep the horse, I didn't need teeth marks, helped her get it back in the pen...It was pathetic. Another horse I went to look at was foundering in a front hoof. I felt her legs and her foot was just hot. Said call the vet, they just looked at me like, Darn, she noticed. Those were not breeders they were just people with horses that they should never had been let near!! (In my opinion).

She is nice, did not come unglued. Yes she was more play than anything. I thought she did really good with the rope. Czar is my favorite. Yes Lincoln has worn quite the path. Those Firewater horses are very popular in the barrel world. You said her sire is gray there are a lot of palominos in that line. We had a palomino roan stallion that was Firewater.

This is just how I like first rides to go. I liked them to come to me basically untouched. I always got a big adrenaline dump that first time or two on board. Not ever wanting to give them the experience of myself coming off unplanned. It's a great feeling to step down after a good first ride. Relief. Smiles. Easy breath. I can see that feeling in Henson when she came unstuck. Gave me a smile too. Nice looking filly. She picks up on things quickly, and seems eager to please. Extra nice job guys. She's gonna be a dandy. You guys are great.

Yep, being thrown is the worst! I was thrown when I was 13 and broke my tailbone... it was horrible having to stand all day in class! Took me months to be able to really ride again. She is a beautiful mare!

Oakley is so pretty!! Hanson is such a patient rider. I like trainers/riders who take their time in riding a horse. To me, even though a horse is trained by one person that doesn't mean the horse will react the same as the previous rider.

You’re right, everyone has their unique cues. That’s why I try to ride these horses before they go home so they can get a feel for a different rider, different weight, different saddle, etc…
