Creating the ideal color palette in Painter is a breeze. Use the Color Wheel, Artists' Mixer palette, Color Set Libraries, and handy Color Harmonies that generate palettes from a selected color.

Wonderful work samples and information as always - thanks so much Karen! And super happy that you mentioned the floating color wheel, because very few even know that this useful panel even exists. But what you did not mention or explain, was HOW TO OPEN THE FLOATING COLOR WHEEL. Once you know the CTRL-Alt-1 / CMD-Option-1 hotkey, it's easy access! But otherwise, this is a very well-kept secret - in the Painter interface, there's no trace of this wheel. I'd imagine it's mentioned somewhere in the manual, but …

I would find it very practical if the colours on the colour mixer were displayed in two or three rows. If I want to display more than 10 colours, it has to be drawn wide and takes up too much space on the monitor for me.

I was using Pureref reference tool. Then I noticed the HSV values are not working like ClipStudio, Krita and Sketchbook. Not sure why. Please advise. 😅
