Thank you for sharing your experiences with the painters diary and QoR…I enjoy the paints and have been thinking about purchasing the diary…. Glad to hear you like it!! I’m also intrigued by Michael Harding paints but they are quite pricey…. Can you really tell a difference in the vibrancy of his watercolors or do you just find his colors unique?? Hi Nancy, The painters diary is very useful and I really love it for keeping a record of my paints and coloured pencils. Michael Harding paints really are vibrant and re-wet easily and some of the colours are unique much like some of the Daniel Smith colours are unique. Happy New Year.

Hello Michelle, Qor is lovely with lots of water, on the paper first, then charge the water to see it flow. The fastest, biggest mover is Paynes Grey. The paper, the way it is cut across the grain or with it, and how much water, will give varying amounts of whhooosh! I agree and think that the painters diary doesn't have large enough spaces to show that push or even to show gradations very well. I am going to use the painters diary purely as record of what colours I have I think but still use my sketchbook to play around with the colours.

Very nice. I do like the viridian and the yellows seem more interesting than some other paint lines yellows. I got the small version of the swatch book when it came out and there are definitely things I like about it but I do wish it came with more pages. I may try adding pages to it if I can find a paper punch for the binding type.

I agree a few more pages would be good. Let me know if you find the right hole punch.
