I do not believe that gas actually affects Detective David Tapp, a man who no longer breathes.

You would think a Telltale Saw game would make sense but apparently Borderlands deserved it more

I feel the same about Superman. You know, the one hero where everyone knows combat encounters aren't about whether the hero survives but what happens to others while the fight is happening? But nah, we got more Batman instead because everyone wants Batman even when the could be put on the map for making actually enjoyable Superman media where he's the hero he is supposed to be like how My Adventures with Superman has gotten popular

I'd sell my soul for a Telltale Saw game.

i find it funny how tapp is forced to kill almost everyone he comes across, but john himself says ‘killing is distasteful’
@llewelynshingler217323 күн бұрын
Technically Jigsaw is not Killing Anyone. Tapp's Desire to not get murdered outweighs his desire to not murder
@AbsoluteTravisT22 күн бұрын
Saw VI, Painticus' favourite, almost every trap comes with unavoidable deaths. Given John designed them all, he's definitely responsible. Which makes sense since Kevin Greutert, director of VI and X, and editor of most of them has stressed in multiple interviews Jigsaw is a murderer.
@CrabbChips18 күн бұрын
I think it's easy to forget that, yes, John is supposed to be unreasonable and contradictory. He's the villain. Like, he kills people? With contraptions? One of Jigsaw's first ever games involved Amanda gutting a man like a tuna for some keys. Kramer killed that man just as much as she did. This isnt a critique of Saw. Personally, I find this infinitely more engaging than John being some.. infallible force of justice, like he believes himself to be. Like Amanda believes herself to be. tl;dr, moral is: characters in a story are just the impression of a person, and should be analysed as such. I'm not accusing you, specifically, but I see this a lot in the Saw fandom.

@@CrabbChipsbut like the MOVIES THEMSELVES paint him as a anti hero
@theitfactorjameswheezer28526 күн бұрын
@@CrabbChipsLike the movies for the most part agree with his sentiment NO one calls him out on his hypocrisy. And the reason he’s a hypocrite is due to differences in writing and direction. Like the Leigh Wanell/James Wan version of John Kramer is not the same as the one in 4,5,6,7 and THAT one isn’t the same as the one in Jigsaw and Saw X. So no, it’s not that he’s engaging it’s that the writers have made his plans more absurd and not at all like his morals via bad writing. And considering all the things he successfully predicts will happen POST DEATH, he’s definitely supposed to be infallible too.

Happy Halloween folks! Just a quick note that KZbin compression has absolutely nuked the video quality because the game is so dark and particle-y. Not too much can be done about that. Apologies!

The Saw timeline’s messiness reminds me of someone who put together a way to watch every MCU movie (up till maybe Infinity War or so) chronologically. Except it would require watchers to switch out to different movies to account for flashbacks, like the very first thing I think was the prologue from Thor 2 since it took place thousands of years ago, then would hurtle ahead to like Captain America 1 but only after the prologue which took place after the events of the main movie. It had the exact time stamps you would need to go to and everything. Imagine someone trying to assemble a comprehensive list like that for the Saw movies.

I've completed this game and I don't think I knew there was a counter attack system. Seeing the UI for it show up in this video gave me a fright.
@thescollard8764 Жыл бұрын
I kinda disagree about what you said about the devs and Amanda. As Saw 2 shows, Jigsaw is perfectly fine putting Amanda into games so she observe and direct the other players (even when it means she's in danger, like the needle pit). I haven't played the game, so I don't know if Amanda dies in a way that obviously can't be faked if you fail, but I can see Jigsaw putting her in a fake trap for the purposes of Tapp's game.

Actually owned both SAW games on my Xbox 360 when I was a kid. Loved playing them a lot actually, kind of wish there was a remaster

Nice video man. Saw the game was actually one of my favourite games.... ever. As a big Saw fan, I enjoyed the plot twists and the suspense, the game just did that too! Up until the end you are on edge and the ending was really exciting for first time, just like any other Saw film haha. Pitty the world thought it was a crap game, I loved it so much i even think I put the most hours in the game than anyone because I used to go for world records on completleting the game as fast as possible and that is so difficult to accomplish now, every second must be perfect. I wish they'd made another Saw game, can you imagine how good it would be in 2023? Saw style, scary graphics and all the fast camera style and fast editing like how they do in the saw films with a really good plot twist that no one will see coming!

I remember playing a Saw demo for XBOX 360, and the demo has you attempt laser surgery to remove a key from behind your character's eye that was surgically implanted. Idk if it was this game or another Saw game that happened to come out in that era, but it feels like a fever dream.

I remember when I was a kid I wasn't allowed to watch the movies, but I did rent this game and the second off of gamefly for a week or two and played it without my parents noticing. Even as a child I knew that these games sucked but there's a certain amount of charm and effort that came through them that makes me hesitate to call them "terrible." At worst, they feel to me like rushed movie tie in games made by developers that actually cared rather than a cash grab. Could be wearing rose tinted glasses though, who knows.

That's very fair! It does have a kind of charm. I didn't hate my time playing it at all, but I'd only ever recommend it to big fans of the series that don't mind the major issues it has

Happy Halloween Paint! And what a delightful halloween treat this is. Happy you covered this game but I don't think I'll be bothering with it - might watch some gameplay footage just to hear Tobin's performance (maybe we should petition Red Barrells to get Tobin involved in Outlast Trials). Shame about the gameplay because those environments look amazing, it really does match the aesthetic of the films.
