Painting a bird in watercolor | The young lady Kestrel part one |

In this video, I start painting this beautiful Kestrel. She is an European Kestrel. This Painting is my own composition from my own photo reference.
The paints I'm using are watercolors, Winsor Newton and the paper is Fabriano Artistico Hot pressed 640gsm ( 300lb)

Hi Michelle! Your lady European Kestrel is wonderful. That Payne's gray and opera rose you mixed for her eyes is a perfect shade. Adding that Payne's gray to the colors in her beak makes such a colorful and realistic look. So neat you were able to meet your subject up close! Kestrels are really beautiful. I watched a male bring a female a rodent as a gift and she was happy to accept it. Great start to your painting.
