Really great work! My only feed back it was a bit hard to see fully what you were doing at times. So maybe some zoom in or different camera angles. But keep up the good work! 💪

Love your work! Dapple grey is really hard for me not to make super dark. I usually use black to "tone out" the model after I've done a few passes on the midtones. You'll know on a bay or grey what your absolute darkest point will be, and can plan your lightest points accordingly. I usually do pastels over airbrushed acrylics, but I really want to try oils. Especially with a makeup brush! EDIT: Oh no! You don't have to start all over! Get 1,000 grade steel wool and sand all your crackle. It will get your surface back to a smooth, 100% OF surface, then just paint them again. II use steel wool ALL THE TIME, it is my best friend at hiding mistakes.

Oh thank you so much! I'll definetly try that out thanks for letting me know! I'm very new to oils as I usually go for acrylics with an airbrush and then also sometimes I use pastels as well. But I really like the process of oils. It's a lot more relaxing I think? airbrushing can sometimes be a bit stressful if I haven't cleaned it well enough etc. lmao

Did the steel wool trick work, or did you have to strip him?? Also, were you watching a Studio Ghibli movie?

Honestly haven't even gotten to try it yet, I'm sure it'll probably work tho. Yes I was watching a Ghibli movie! When Marnie Was There to be exact :)

@@wolfhomestudios Ah, I thought the style was right, but I couldn't place the movie! I haven't seen "When Marnie Was There", but it's going on the list :) I hope the steel wool trick works whenever you try it. Will you make an update with your results?

I am planning to do a video update once I get back to this project and get to paint this one again. Currently working on a few different projects, but I'll make sure to include it in the video once I get to it! :)
