Airy. Sorta romantic. Also scary. It’s like we are standing on a watch tower. Very nice Greg.

Very pretty painting. Do you have a non-time lapse version (if you do I didn't see it)? I wanted to see how you made the spots between the branches almost glow. It's something I've been wanting to learn.

Sorry, was too much footage to edit in real-time, but I used a little shot of white with an airbrush in between the branches to get that glow.

I don't have an airbrush, what do you suggest I do to create the mist look?
@GregLowmanArt Жыл бұрын
Oil paint over acrylic can be easily blended out to look like mist. If you are using all acrylic, try using a stiff & dry brush to scrub out the paint and get a mist effect. If that doesn't work, airbrushes are easy to learn - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKHIgYacfZ2ErcU

How did you keep the acrylic from drying out before blending
@GregLowmanArt3 жыл бұрын
I used more water than usual and worked fast. If that still doesn't help, you can use a drying retarder amzn.to/3rw1zsQ

This is beautiful! Did you spray water mist whilst working on the trees? If so do you use an air brush gun or just a spray bottle? I find spray bottle leaves water spots on my painting and sort of hard to remove. :(
@GregLowmanArt3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I have never tried a spray bottle, this was an airbrush

The three dots up in the right hand corner can set the timer for your requirements. Grey speeded the video up because of the time delay. You can slow it right down to suit your needs.
