PAINTING A GUN IN 1/35 SCALE

Painting a 1/35 scale gun in 5 minutes using Vallejo Acrylics products. We paint three thin layers of Vallejo Black Primer 70.602. Let each layer to dry thoroughly-you can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process. Then we paint the metal parts of the gun using Gunmetal Metal Color 720 and the wooden parts using Mahogany Brown 846, Chocolate Brown 872 and Panzer Aces Old Wood 310 drawing randomly also some thin lines. A sepia wash 73.200 will be passed over the entire wooden surface. More information on the website: www.acrylicosvallejo.com and in hobby shops.

Hello Jeremy, thank you for your kind words. The tool is a simple X-acto with a thick handle. It secures with 4 cross points not only with two, that Xacto usually had for the blades.

Did you really mean Zippo fluid (as in lighter fuel) to clean plastic - Surely that would damage it?

Yes, wet your stiff brush or toothbrush and scrub all the surface. Do not put in a ball with zippo fluid. This also can be done with pure alcohol. Have in mind that Zippo fluid in sall quantities can be used together with essence de petroleum for thinning oils so to have a matt finish.

@@swaggyfarts5654sorry for the late reply, I try different ways on all the sets I buy mostly (miniart weapon sets) the new US set is nice, I have tried it this way it is very nice but I thought there was just to much shine for my liking so went over it with a satin varnish with the airbrush and to be honest the both ways are lovely and really do make a nice visual interest for each weapon when sitting on the tank or whatever your building! I recently bought afew of them AK Xtreme metal paints! Making sure you have a black base down first you don't get that sence of depth if you don't use a black base! I did buy there polished aluminium, Gunmetal and the steel and also the black base! I wanted to see if these would work with any non matt black base coat and they do! They do say there Enamels in the bottle but I also have aclad II Gunmetal what is very blue tinge but nice with a black wash over it! I did use this only for the barrel on one of my guns and the visual interest was unusual I'll say but nice enough! Anyway these AK Xtreme metal ENAMELS when you pour it into the lid and do the same with the Alclads they do that separating bubble thing it does whit alclads! There just alclads but really are something else! They seem to go on as good or better without all the prep work you do for that alclad sheen! And self levels even of it's blasted on runny like! The Gunmetal alclad is different being a blue!

Add the beginning of the video, you showed Metal Colors 77.712 steel and Model Color 70.950 black. I didn't see you use them in the video, where they not needed? Great video by the way

Thank you very much for your nice comment. It depends on modelers' taste. If you wish to have a more light metal color you can use the steel on the edges and on rivets. If the result was overdone you can use the Black for lining and give more depth. All depend on modeler's view!
