Dreamy Daniel Smith -- those colors are AMAZING and so is your painting! Your cub has very expressive eyes! Btw, based on your comment, you have reservations about the Fab Artistico H2O paper. I'd be interested in knowing your preference. Thanks for any comments and very beautiful share!

Thank you so much 😀 I think any reservations I have about the Fab Aristico paper are based on opinions I have heard from other artists but after trying it I still do still think I prefer the Arches.. I will still use the Artistico though as I have this large block of it- maybe it will just take a bit of getting used to! Take care 🙂

I don't want to romanticize about the Arches so holding my final opinion, but I really appreciate another artist's take on the paper. With appreciation!

Sorry for the late reply! I wasn't sure about the paper when I first used it a couple of weeks back but as long as its on the block it seems fine and I didn't have any issues with it throughout this painting. Take care 😊

Hi Cheralynn! I didn't have any issues with the paper this time round. It seemed to hold up to all the layers of watercolour I applied without any problem and stayed nice and flat once I removed it from the block. I also managed to lift the paint from the paper in places without it damaging the paper which was one of the things I was concerned about when I first used it. Initially It seemed less robust than my arches paper but I really enjoyed painting on it this week so maybe it just takes a bit of getting used to.
